Great item for triplets
We purchased this for our triplet boys first birthday in Oct 2012. It's been 11 months now, and I was doing some other reviews and figured I would do one for this. The boys love their choo-choo wagon, and we've used it extensively. Probably our first use was for trick-or-treating about a mile through neighborhood streets when they were 1. It's been to everything from parades to festivals to the mall. On-road, off-road and everywhere in between. Over concrete curbs. The first "car" has a small storage area under the seat that isn't good for much of anything. Each car has a bench seat, seatbelt and a (shallow) cup-holder. For 1 year olds this was great, as two year olds they can lean over and play with the wheels while we are driving. I don't like that, but it hasn't been a problem yet since the wheels don't have much to catch on.The Good:Very durable. We've been through oily streets, muddy fields, gravel roads, animal farms. I can take this over a concrete curb and it scrapes the bottom but doesn't cause a lot of problems (I wouldn't do it every day). I haven't power-washed it, but I probably should and it would do just fine.Easy to pull. You'd think being weighted down with three kids (sometimes their 5-year-old cousin sits in it), but it rolls very smoothly and the wheels have a slightly soft covering on them that keeps the rolling very smooth even on fairly uneven surfaces. Now that the boys are two there is still some inertia involved with starting and stopping, but it's easy to pull and maintain speed once you are there. Hills are hills, there's not much you can do about that.Great view. The boys really like that they are in the open and can touch things as they go by. They aren't blocked in like with a stroller. They are sitting up and part of everything that is going on. And they get to see any dogs that go by, which is one of their favorite parts.Center of attention. More than any other way we have to move our triplets around, this thing gets a lot of attention. Every single time we go out people want to know where we got it and want one of their own.Long-term. With the durability and the size, these will probably be usable for a few more years yet. I think over time this will be more of a way to carry "stuff" rather than children, but that's only a good thing. The Bad:You're pulling three babies at once. If you're a big guy like I am, you can do it for hours. And you *will*. They don't like stopping. It's a train, after all!Turning and backing up. If you think about it, this isn't really a design flaw. It's just the nature of this type of device. The cars can only turn so much. And think about trying to drive backwards in a car with a trailer... this is worse because there are more axles. I'm really good at backing a trailer, but this thing is nearly impossible. A lot of times I just have to pick it up and turn it. The turn radius is around 10 feet, if that helps you any. You're the center of attention. If you don't want more attention, don't get this. If you do, put them in shirts or jackets that match the color of the car.Right now the boys are wanting to pull and push this themselves - all three at once. Which means that somebody is getting run over, somebody is falling because they are only half out of the car, and so on. Again, it's not an issue with this product just something to think about. In another year they'll be pulling each other around and it will be a good thing.Things to think about:You need one more car than baby. I've been saying I would get another caboose for a year now and haven't done it. I really need to, because babies (or toddlers) require a lot of extra "stuff".I can fit the three-car version of this in the back of our 2006 Honda Odyssey Touring, but just barely. I have to take the back car off and turn them exactly right, but it does work. It also fits in the back of a Nissan Armada with the 3rd row seat down, but that's kind of obvious. So does the Radio Flyer Triple Deluxe Wagon, which is massively large. Also consider the Radio Flyer Triple Play Deluxe Wagon. Pricey, but possibly better than the Step 2 Choo-Choo Train triple wagon. Except for one HUGE problem... it's huge. It won't go in our minivan at all unless we take out or lay down some seats.

Great wagon
This wagon is awesome. I can pull 3 kids. It has a large turn radius and is hard to steer going down steep hills. Also it has limited storage capacity for diapers, snacks, bottles, etc. still recommend it, though.

Choo-choo wagon solved my problem!!!
I am a daycare provider as well as a mom to a new kindergartener. I really wanted to be able to walk my daughter to her classroom and pick her up after school. Since I have wee ones in my daycare, I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to do this!! I was looking for a 3 seat wagon when I came across the Choo-Choo Train Wagon!! I ordered it and it is perfect for our trek to and from school. I only have 3 cars and it is a bit tough for me to pull on inclines (but I am on the wimpy side)!! I have only been using it for less than a month and not a day goes by when I don't get a "hey...that thing is awesome....where did you get it??" comment. So far so great!! I was a bit worried about the plastic wheels as we roll on a rough terrain but it had held up to the test so far!! I would recommend this to anyone!! even if you only have 2......the separate cars give each child there own space (as well as drink holder). Ther is no poking, hitting, pulling or general violation of personal space!!! Great job Step 2!!

GREAT purchase!
I bought this choo choo wagon because I have twins that are 1 1/2 and a 3 year old that LOVE to go the park, and don't really like the stroller. I LOVE this wagon...sure when all 3 are riding it is a bit heavy, but the girls are ALWAYS excited to take a ride in the "Choo choo train". We can even fit it in our van (we put the yellow trailer on the back seat....and the front 2 fit perfectly on it's side in the trunk space) I know it was a lot to spend on a wagon.....but for our family it is a WINNER!!

Falls apart so easily
There have been multiple occasions, almost every 4 rides that a wheel has fallen off. Today we had a child that fell out of the wagon after the wheel fell off and busted her mouth. This is unacceptable!! This product is poorly constructed and I will not recommend it for small children.

The back wagon can disconnect…
We purchased this wagon for our triplets last year. Originally, everything stayed together and it rode/pulled nicely. Turning it is difficult (obviously) and sharp turns are almost impossible. We were walking and I made a sharp turn and the back wagon came off, and the whole wagon completely fell on its side on the sidewalk, causing my 2 year olds to hit their heads on the concrete. :( If you live somewhere where turning this would be necessary I would not reccomend this wagon!

The idea is wonderful but pulling two or three kids is very heavy ...
The idea is wonderful but pulling two or three kids is very heavy and a serious workout . It fits in my Tahoe if I take the last bucket off which is great but I have zero desire to pull my kids in it unless the road is perfectly flat

Love this product
I have a daycare and this has made it possible to still leave the house. We went to the zoo with our radio flyer umbrellas attached and it was adorable. Not one person was able to walk by without commenting on this adorable wagon. You can add trailers to it so it can accomadate how ever many kids you have. We had 4 trailers and two double umbrellas and it worked out perfectly.
