I was a bit skeptical since these didn't come with instructions, and at first glance, they seemed like they were going to be a pain to install. However, I figured out a trick that makes it much easier: just push the inner tube forward, install the diaphragm through the vacuum opening at the front, and then pull it back into place. Once I got it seated, I was seriously impressed. My pool cleaner started working perfectly right away, and what’s even better is that it actually operates at a lower vacuum pressure than my previous one. It’s moving with more "vigor" than the original part ever did. If you’re tired of overpaying for name-brand replacements that don't last, this is a fantastic alternative. Great value, works perfectly, and I highly recommend it as a replacement part!

My pool man just told me I needed to replace the diaphragm in my Zodiac pool cleaner and said it was $75 for him to sell me one and he had one in his truck. I said No Thanks. I can get them for $5 each. He said BUT they are not name brand, quality like what I sell. I said, they are better than the name brand as proven by the fact that this diaphragm that came with the Zodiac is barely over a year old already needs replacement. I am not spending $75 a year to replace these little rubber pieces that are easily installed without any experience or skill. Even if my $5 diaphragm only lasts a year, that still saves me $70 a year! Furthermore, reading the reviews here, it seems these diaphragms are actually built better and will likely last 3+ years. I recommended my pool guy open his eyes to alternatives away from the OEM to offer his customers a better product, a choice and he can make a bigger profit by offering more than just OEM. In the end, I declined the work and the price. Put my $5 diaphragm in and I'll follow this review up when/if the day comes when its time to replace it and see how it actually compared to the OEM. I figure it should last at least a year and for $5 vs $75, it makes no sense to me why anyone would pay more unless it came with a 10 year free-replacement warranty. Save your money and buy this! It's better than the OEM no matter what your pool guy says. He's just trying to make a sale - that's his job.

I've had this cleaner for 8-10y. I ordered these diaphragms, to replace the last ones in my pool cleaner. This is the 2nd time I've ordered them. Last couple times, I've ordered different ones from different vendors here. Have tried 4 or 5 different vendors, and these are now my go to. All the others ran a little slower than the originals. Both times I've ordered these, the cleaner moved closely to the speed of the original, of not a quickly. The others I've ordered also had issues with the cleaner not making it to the shallow end as often. Very often, I would need to use the ladder, and "anchor" the cleaner hose, so it could only move in the shallow end. No more! The compound these are made of seems more pliable than the others. Full disclosure... these don't seem to last as long, as I've had others that worked for almost 2 seasons. These seem to fail after just 1 season, but that's a small price to pay for the unit to actually do its job! They come in a 2 pack, and I usually lose 1 during the season, but that's completely on me. Again, these are now my go to. No more trying different vendors. I know these perform as expected of the originals, and they perform better than any other replacements I've tried.

If you have a Zodiac pool vacuum with a bad diaphragm. These work great! I was skeptical because the price was too good to be true but... They were a perfect fit and work as good as the ones you buy at your local pool store for 3 times the price. Even if I only get one season out them, I'll be happy. Little hack. When installing the new one make sure the opening is clean and use just a little Vaseline on the snorkel end to help it slide through the hole easily. You'll save yourself alot of time and frustration. Great product for the money.
