Meh
Took a chance on this despite mixed reviews. I’m getting a gross soil read for moisture for my citrus trees, which have to be wintered indoors in a place with inadequate light and humidity. Bought a LED grow lamp to pamper them this year, since they’re used to better conditions at our old place. I’m terrible at keeping up with watering, and don’t like to overwater, so this thing is a gross estimate of where we are. It does change its reading in different pots/on different days; I cannot swear to its accuracy, since even a readily watered pot doesn’t read that high.Light meter is useless, and I don’t have calibration for the pH meter to know if it’s any good, but I suspect not.I am debating whether to return it; I could probably stick a chopstick or skewer in and tell with this level of accuracy. But it’s not a lot of $, so I want to see if it makes enough of a difference this year in terms of plant happiness; if it helps my babies survive winter indoors, even inaccurate as it seems to be, I guess it has done its job. But if you’re looking for something that works to the level of detail promised, look elsewhere. It seems to be a flaw with all of these meters; bet they’re all manufactured in the same place, on the same assembly line, and packaged by different sellers.

Moisture meter might not be that accurate
I got this to test the ph for my blueberry and it told me that the soil is lacking acidity. I was curious about the moisture too and in testing a number of plants I dipped into our pool. I was shocked that this didn’t raise the meter to full wetness and now I’m a little skeptical about its accuracy.

First one dead out of the box. Replacement works.
Does not work. I push it into the ground, jiggle it a little until the pointer moves a bit. Wait 10 minutes. The pointer stays in the exact position to the left. And we just had 3 inches of rain outside, and it's impossible for my soil to have a pH of 1. I'm returning it. Thanks for nothing.UPDATE: Returned the defective unit and got a replacement. The replacement worked. It seems to work nicely and seems to be accurate. I measured the moisture one day and it said wet, which it should have been because we had rain recently. Then the next day I measured it and it said moist. So obviously the meter detected that it was less wet the following day. If I didn't see a change, then I would question it.

It is what it is
For a cheap meter it is good. It does measure moister and light good. The PH isn't so accurate and that was the main reason I bought it. I am trying to grow blueberries and need the soil to a 5 or 4.5 and there is no way after all I did my soil is still a 7 I sent it off and my soil was at a 4. SO ph scale is no good on this.

Moisture works mostly
I only need the moisture with a FLF and this is kind of some-timey. I move it around in the pot and get different results after an immediate watering. I use it as a gauge when just taking a quick peek but I do keep an auto reminder on my phone to make sure I don't over water b/c this thing has shown some moisture as well as dry when it was dry.

Disappointed purchase
This item was a complete waste of money. I love the color purple which is what made me eager to purchase to use in my garden. The letters or very small making it difficult to read-other times the dial refuses to move or bobbles as if it is undecided where to land. I do not recommend unfortunately.

Didn't Work
I bought this item in hopes to be a better plant parent but it didn't work for me.I inserted it into a planter that was bone dry and another one that was moist and never once did it change.I tried it on a few different occasions and it did not work for me, so I returned it.
