The Cool Bean (The Food Group Book 3)

This book series is incredible! There are several and they are all so smartly written and the illustrations are both fun and cute. As a former teacher, I love books that teach life lessons and this series is all about being kind, not always needing to fit in and how to make yourself feel good so you can make others feel good.

I love using these books along with the 7 habits or the 5 paradigms! My kinds love making connections with the characters and learning new things! They are fun, interactive and easy to enjoy! I’ve loved this addition to my classroom library!

Part of a series of award-winning books

I love this book. With a child in kindergarten, I love that it does talk about changing relationships and how sometimes people become viewed as better than others. In this books, the “cool beans” and the so-called not cool bean end up getting back together and all is well. I actually think it would have been better if the ending had been different, where maybe the beans occasionally played together but there was now a change, just because that’s more realistic.

This is my favorite book in this series so far. The complexity in this story makes it a great book to teach many different skills to students. It also resonates with older elementary students. I used this in my 4th grade class to discuss what makes someone cool. It lead to great conversation and one of the messages from the book being that a true cool bean is kind to friends. We also discussed the importance of being kind because you never know the impact a kind act that may appear small can have on the recipient. The last lesson we learned from this book was about the lasting impact of friendships, and that even though you may drift apart because of different interests you can still maintain a connection and be there for each other. This book is awesome. I love the illustrations and the wonderful story.

I love this whole series im glad amazon had it as i live far out from any book stores and my son loves reading them

I thought i was buying the physical copy of this book not downloading it. My children do not have a kindle to use so this is useless. I feel like i wasted my money. Im sure the book is excellent but i feel it should be more clear that its a downloaded version

A book so well written for kids.

I ordered 12 books at one go, and took turns to read a book every night to my 3.5 yr old daughter. This is the one she keeps coming back to you over and over again.

I never get to fit in so I read this book and that was really inspiring. Thank you Jory john.😁
