Is this a memory foam pillow?

No, this is a fiber core. If you want to buy a memory foam pillow, it is recommended to buy the Newentor brand, which is soft on one side and hard on the other, which is very comfortable.

I have bought silentnight form pillows before but find they vary in firmness, i prefer more firm. is this l3 or l2 number?

I brought them but I don't know if they were 12 or 13. But I can tell you that they are not firm what so ever. I was really disappointed. They was as soft as a normal pillow. I only brought them as I have bulging disks in my neck and thought they would help. My advice is that for support they are no good. Hope this helps.

Should i wash them before start using?
