Yes it's expensive, but a little goes a long way. It's much more filling than white or even brown rice, but not heavy. It really is so tasty, even by it's self. It's so healthy as well. It takes a long time to cook, but no more than brown rice does. It has a lovely chewy texture. I'm addicted. I soak it for a couple of hours before cooking, which makes it a bit quicker to cook.
