I purchased this for a family member who doesn't need much out of a smartphone. Web, email, a few apps and photos. The sellet advertised it as unlocked but it definitely was not. I wrestled for two weeks with T-Mobile to unlock it. Eventually I just returned it and swapped it for another phone from the same seller. That was my mistake. The replacement phone was also not unlocked. I didn't even mess around with it. I returned it right away. The phone was fine enough, but this seller advertises unlocked phones, and sells you something else. Save your frustration and buy elsewhere.

It was new, replacing one just like it. I am happy

Amazingly good for the price. The instruction booklet (start guide) could have been better.

I owned my phone 2 weeks and dropped it yesterday and the screen cracked all over, TMobile said that they couldn't fix it, I'd have to have bought insurance and then, even with that, cost would be $50 for new screen. The sales man did not suggest I buy a protector for the screen, I was not told it would break so easily. I bought the new phone to replace a 4 year old LG phone that I dropped several times and the screen never cracked so I didn't think it would be a problem. They can send a man to the moon but they can't make it so that a cell phone screen doesn't crack when it is dropped? It's ridiculous, and it's clear to me that they made it so easy to break so that people will have to buy new phones all the time. I feel ripped off!
