Hauck Safety Gate for Doors and Stairs Open N Stop KD / Pressure Fit / 75 - 80 cm Large / Extendable with Separate Extensions / Metal / White

I purchased the 84-89cm gate and an additional extension for a 93cm opening. It was easy to put together and set up, it took me about 10/15 minutes. I use it for a small dog and didn’t attached the support cups to the wall (as I want to be able to move it between front and back doors), which is okay with a dog. If you are using it for a bigger dog or a child, then you will need to drill the support cups to the wall (or strong sticky pads) as it stops the gate from sliding out of its doorway. A couple of times my son has knocked the gate out of the doorway as he’s racing the dog outside. I do have a completely different gate at the bottom of my stairs, which is pressure fitted and has the support cups. I have used sting sticky pads to secure them to the wall and they hold quite well.

Needed these as my toddler and baby are at the age of walking and crawling and they go the stairs. It gives me peace of mind knowing that I don’t have to be around looking after them every minute of the hour. They are a good sturdy product and good value for money in my eyes

The product took me along time to fit. The instructions are not that good. Opening and closing of the gate is fine. You can put the extension on the left side or right side.

Nothing but problems. The extenders falling out constantly, gate falling apart. Unuseable after 3 months.

Fits well, easy to assemble. Secure when in place

This is the worst purchase I have ever made on Amazon. I have had nothing but problems with it. The only reason I bought this one is because it was the only one that fit the size of the top of my stairs. However, it doesn’t close properly., sometimes it doesn’t open properly meaning that you’re trapped inside, I am constantly having to adjust the knobs because they come loose. I am a maintenance engineer and know how to install things I definitely install this properly. This is a hazard to anything and anyone you’re trying to prevent from getting in and out of places. I wish I could return it by return window. I recommend getting a gate from safety 1st. This is so crap that I i’m actually paying to get my hallway resized to fit a different gate

Don’t have to put any screws into the wall but is still very strong. I use this at the top of my stairs and it’s easy to open and when it’s closed it’s strong.

Bought this to replace the same gate because the plastic hinge broke. This one looks like they have gone cheaper with the materials. The gate doesn't stay open when you want it like the last one. More importantly, it doesn't close properly without some extra intervention, the lock doesn't line up properly and I have tried to do some adjustments to line it up easier.
