I am not sure of any health benefits but we bought these to use as ready to eat food that requires no preparation. I suppose that alone is a health benefit. There is a variety of options available. There are definitely fresh, size is equal to 2 fig bars length. Taste is good. If you know the brand, you will not be surprised by the fact that the 'crust' is somewhat dry. Overall, with a larger box, I consider these to be a fair value for money.
