Sturdy, easy-to-read, lasted me 15+years!
This is a fabulous watch! I really love it. It is an exact replacement for one I bought more than 15 years ago and wore almost every day since then. It’s very water resistant - I wear it in the pool, in the shower, doing dishes, etc. It’s also very tough - I wore it hiking, biking, gardening, building, digging, etc. You name it and this watch and I have done it. The face did accumulate a few scratches in 15 years but nothing that made it unreadable. The light always goes out well before the battery really needs replacement but comes back with a new battery. I had to replace the band 3 times over the years, mostly because the leather at the buckle wears through, probably from getting wet so often. At one point I put a Velcro band on but I didn’t like the feel of the wet Velcro on my wrist and against my clothing as it dried after swimming daily. You should know a few things. 1. The band is made for a large wrist. Although a woman, I have a VERY large wrist and can not fit into most women’s watches at all but this watch fits me perfectly. If your wrist is slim, this won’t fit you. 2. The color is army green. The watch looks kind of like I got it at an army navy surplus store. I don’t mind that look (in fact I kind of like it) but if that will bother you, this watch isn’t for you. 3. This watch ticks loudly. I mean hear it clearly at night loudly. Again, I like it but it annoys my husband a little and my kids hate it. If the sounds will bother you, look elsewhere. You might be asking why I am replacing it since I love mine so much? After 15 years, the band got accidentally ripped out in such a way that one of the holes where the pin sits is now too big to hold the pin in place! Such a tiny defect to make a watch unwearable!!! I’m actually working on a kluge that might allow me to wear it again but in the meantime I needed a watch and I found this one again so I bought a replacement. If you are looking for a sturdy, easy-to-read analog watch with a date, you can’t go wrong with this one.

Looks like it should be 10x more expensive!
I purchased this watch 4 months ago to hold me over while I weigh whether or not I want to invest in a far more expensive watch... I thought I might only wear this watch occasionally, but it quickly became my daily wear. I love the way it looks and didn't care much about anyone else's opinion... And then someone mistakenly guessed this watch was a Hamilton Khakis Field, which is at least 10x more expensive, so that is high praise! Great size on my wrist, comfortable, and love the Indiglo. My 2.5 year old daughter loves the Indiglo and the relatively loud ticking as well! Overall, great watch!

High quality basic watch.
Great watch for the money. I wanted a good quality no frills watch for work and everyday use. Easy to read and looks good.

Great value watch!
I love the functionality of this inexpensive watch. For the price, you get great timekeeping, a quartz movement, and great indiglo. Fits fine as it comes on a OEM nato strap of sorts. I love the black red and white coloring on the dial and strap. A very aesthetically pleasing watch for the price. With that said, the crystal DOES scuff easy as it's only acrylic, and the case itself feels cheap. But like I said, for the price, a great watch overall.

its a good, rugged watch
after over a year its still keeping perfect time and i never take it off, not in 6 hours of hot springs or deep cold plunges. it just keeps ticking and it looks nice, Ive gotten some compliments.

Inexpensive, simple, and just right for my son.
I purchased this as a gift for my son - he is just getting into Boy Scouts and needed a dependable watch that he could have on Troop trips outside of Normal. Because it always rains on Scout trips, it needed to be water resistant, and easy to put on/take off would be a plus. This works. Now make no mistake - this is not at all comparable to a $500 wonder watch. To compare it to a higher end wristwatch would be unfair. No, this is a very simple watch. The design is such that I think even having the date on it is a bit fancy. The watch exists to tell you what time it is, and to be light and convenient enough so you don't think about it when you're wearing it. I love it precisely because it is inexpensive and simple. To be sure, my choices came down to this watch and the Casio Forester - and since the prices were right I bought both. I figure my son will more than likely lose at least one watch during his adventures, and happily the price points on these are low enough where you kind of (but only kind of) don't mind. My son says the Timex is somewhat easier to read. He wears this watch more than the Forester for that reason. The band is easy to put on and take off, as it's Velcro and not a traditional buckle. Since I want my son to get in the habit of wearing this thing when he's out of the house (really, it does no good to tell him to be back home by six if he doesn't have a watch....), having an easy-to-wear band is crucial. Indiglo lighting is fantastic on this - it's not so bright that it's blinding you, but rather just the right luminescence to illuminate the watch face. Important in, say, a tent in the wee small hours. This works. it keeps good time and supports my son's Scouting activities. We are both rather happy with it.

Lightweight, easy to read in daylight or darkness
I have bad eyes and want to be able to see my watch without glasses. This product fits the bill. The wide hands contrast sharply with the dial and there is no unnecessary decoration around the perimeter of the bezel that blurs together with the hour markers or the hands when viewed through geezer eyes. The Indiglo feature makes night reading easy. It's very lightweight and has 100 meter water resistance. The dial makes maximal use of the 39 mm case, so you get a good-sized dial face without an overly large case. The fabric strap is very comfortable, but I would personally prefer something that doesn't get all gross from sweat, sunscreen and dirt. That's a minor issue, I'll swap the band before summer. I miss my old Timex Ironman watch, but I can no longer read it easily without glasses. This one is a solid second choice.

Mixed feeling, Good Value. But lacking a bit on Quality.
My confession first. I am a watch nut. I own over 40 mechanical wrist watches currently and 90% if them are over $300 each, and many over $1000. But I always have two quartz watches I kept in my watch box to which all my luxury watches synchronize with. One of them is the Tissot T-Touch. And the other a Timex Ironman 30 from the early 1990s, which still keeps perfect time after close to 20 years of use, and it actually held up quite well cosmetically too. So needless to say, Timex to me presents superb quality and value. This camper expedition, is my second Timex after some 20 years and many expensive watches later. Of course, comparing it to a high end swiss mechanical will be asking too much, but I believe my expectation was reasonable and sound. The Good The matte resin case feels light weight but durable. The grey case offers a good contrast with the black military style dial. Acrylic crystal is sufficient for normal use, but it surely will be scratch from clumsy wrist movements. The band offers a very militaristic olive drab and black theme. Stainless buckle and rubber retainer. Modern size at close to 40mm case size. (Amazon got the case size wrong) I simply love the way this watch looks. Especially at a mere $27 shipped. The retail packaging and instruction are very detailed as well. The Bad Timex is known not only for its bargain prices, but it is supposed to be terrific at quality control. This camper, however, have lots of issues. Biggest problem comes from the canvas strap. There is a overlapping part of the canvas that holds the buckle in place. The hard adhesive has leaked out from the manufacturing process and produce very uncomfortable edges along the inner side of the strap, right where the center of the wrists contacts the watch. That is extremely annoying if you were to wear the watch for any period of time. There are two separate plastic pieces where the strap meets the case, that were designed to add a bit of style and comfortable angle for the strap. But unfortunately one of them on my watch came slightly deformed. The piece looks as though it was taken off the plastic molding too quickly while it was still warm and surfaces was not even. Last, a common problem for budget watches. The second hand doesn't line up exactly to the makers. This is an easy fix by opening the watch and manually affix the second hand again. But annoying none the less. All this still doesn't make this Timex a bad deal. It is very functional and keeps good time like any other quartz out there. But it does have a few issues for those of you who are thinking about it and have not made the decision. Best luck watch hunting ~

Good
It’s a good watch for the price, ticking is very loud but i like it. The strap is good but I changed it for a raf strap (single pass nato). The springbar sit very low on the lug so it fits nato’s very well.

Perfetto per tutti i giorni
Ottimo orologio, leggerissimo, compatto e ottima visibilità.

Worth it👍
Great price vs quality and the tikking is a bit loud indeed but it does not bother me.
