I’ve never found the symbol to fit my finger. I’ve had to put them on my pinky finger. I bought these and they fit so I now have a proper thimble. The way it sunk in, the metal thimble shield is under the leather. This prevents the needle from sliding off. Thimbles should have always been this way.

I'm doing my first quilting project and realized I needed a thimble to help push the needle through all that fabric, and the old solid metal one I inherited was a bit small. I like these having the bit of metals just where it counts - while these would probably work well without the metal section, over time the leather would eventually give way. My one issue overall with these being leather is that in relatively short order, the one I'm using has loosened up, as leather will do, so it tends not to stay on my finger as snugly so I'm often pushing it back down to ensure it's staying put. Maybe if these were lined with a bit of injection molded silicone to keep it on the finger more snugly for when the leather inevitably eases might be a good idea. I may try using some latex finger cots to see if they help. If I do, I'll try to come back and update this review.

Just what you need for your needlepointing fingers

The Large is VERY tight on my index finger, and I have small hands! Gonna try soaking it then wear it dry. Hopefully that will allow it to stretch enough. The medium is a no-go ... glad they didn't send a small! If the soaking works, I'll update.

I could never stand a metal thimble on while I sew; these are very soft and don't bother me while I am sewing. Easy to store in my sewing kit as they are flat when not in use. I got a pack of four and shared two with a friend who sews a lot. I will purchase more if needed.

Conviennent très bien pour l'utilisation que je comptais en faire. Attention cependant, ils serrent un peu au début, (j'ai les doigts fins). Aucun problème pour les enfiler après un certain temps d'utilisation.

These thimbles are much better than the usual metal ones and much more comfortable to use, although would like them to be slightly longer. The added advantage of the metal middle for pushing needles through is a great asset. Although not sure how long each one last you have the added advantage of there being 4 in the pack, making it good value for money.

I use these for stitching thick materials like jeans, suede and perforated leather. The thimble does its job and protects my finger well, without slipping off or becoming uncomfortable after several hours of use. The leather stretches and conforms to your finger, and the two sizes I received fit my fingers perfectly (average sized hands for a man). Time will tell how they hold up, but for now I am very impressed and think I would pay the same price for just one thimble, let alone 4! I am not a professional by any stretch of the imagination, but I do use them a few hours every week and am very satisfied with the product so far.
