So I've been using my card for 3 weeks now, no artifacting or anything like that hence I felt it's time to review, to make things easier to digest I'll break my opinions down into different sections so you can read or skip as you see fit...Performance: Best card I've ever owned, top frame rate, performance is smooth. I have this paired with an overclocked 8700k to 5GHz and a 1440p g-sync monitor (Asus PG279Q) and the image quality is superb and consistent framerates of over 100 at 2k so no complaints with performance.Price: It's expensive, I live in South Africa though and here the card costs around R25000 so rather thank me thinking how I overpaid for the card I prefer to think how I saved R4000 by ordering from Amazon (at the time, exchange rate and pricing dependent of course). You pay the early adopters price, it's as simple as that unfortunately. I'm an enthusiast who waited months for this card so I was never going to be satisfied with a 1080ti, if I got that then I'd enjoy it but always wonder what the 2080 series is like.Noise/sound: at idle even with the default fan curve only the right side fan spins and I don't hear it, then again I have a Bequiet DB900 so maybe my noise focused case helps? Under load you can definitely hear the fans but I game with a headset on so then I go back to not hearing a thing anyway so it really doesn't bother me. Either way even under load this PC is still quieter than my last PC that I built in 2009 so I'm happy with noise performance.Temperatures: Idles at high 30s for the most part, or low 40s on a warmer day that's say high 20s (celcius)...people moan about temperatures but they might not realize they need to download Asus GPU Tweak II to adjust the fan curve, for some reason out of the box they do cap the performance on the fan I guess to lower the noise but as mentioned earlier that doesn't bother me anyway so I've ramped mine up to spin up to 100% at 79 degrees. All in all I have a total of 10 fans in my system and idle (headphones off) I don't hear it and under load I hear it but closed back headset blocks it all out. I have 3 intake fans, 2 exhausts (rear and top), 1 PSU fan, 2 GPU fans, 2 CPU cooler fans.Issues: my PC is stable, had a weird issue with Warframe though where it would reboot in anything from 30s to about 10min of playing. I fixed that by disabling in game vsync as I had g-sync enabled on the card now it's back to being totally stable, there wasn't even any information in event viewer on this and the Warframe support page didn't mention anything about this either though their advice did at least point me in the right troubleshooting direction.I also have an issue with multi-monitor display because I have a TV as a second screen but this causes intermittent flickering in the desktop, not gaming. I've unplugged my TV as it's just a backup solution anyway for some scenarios and I'll plug it in if needed, currently I test multi-monitor display setup with new driver iterations to see if it gets fixed that way.
