K5SS MODEL THIS IS THE ONE YOU NEED TRUST ME
Very impressed with this product. The price also was extremely reasonable considering if I had to order thru KitchenAid this product would have been over $50.My kitchenaid by the way is older bowl lift type model K5SS watts 325 heavy duty.I couldn’t find anything compatible til this. So happy with how it works also.So you decide either pay $15. or $50.

Perfect fit
Fits perfectly in our kitchen aid mixer. Had to replace to the original one after 25 years of use.

Does not fit Kitchenaid 6 qt Professional 6000 with lift arm and tulip bowl.
Bought this because Kitchenaid is out of stock for the replacement beater for my 6 qt Professional 6000 stand mixer with lift arm and tulip bowl. I have had to replace the beater every few years due to chipping. This one is identical to the ones I got from Kitchenaid. And half the price. Just hope it doesn’t chip as easy.Addendum: This beater is wobbly. I now do not recommend. Do not buy. Returning.

Works fine.

Does not fit my 6000 Pro purchased at Costco very well.
My kitchenaid is 18 years old, due to lack of availability at kitchenaid I purchased here. There’s lots of clanging going on if I put the speed higher than two.I know I can adjust them, but that will throw off my other attachments.

Check your size before puchasing.
Great replacement for a chipped enamel mixer.

Works as intended, but……
So the original beater from my 30 year old KitchenAid K5SS stand mixer finally needed to be replaced. It worked fine, but I had used it to mix some dry dog food with soft ingredients, (It’s a long story.) and the beater finish had chipped off. I was afraid of finish further chipping off and winding up in our food. I found this new beater on Amazon with a much better price that an OEM beater and it was well reviewed, so I thought I’d give it a try. I’ve now used it several times and it does work without any noticeable problems. The thing that I did notice is that the hole used to mount the beater to the mixer spindle is larger on the new beater than the old beater. It’s not off by a lot, but in the mechanical world, it’s significant. The additional tolerance means that the beater “wiggles” much more than the original when mounted to the mixer spindle. In the short term, it doesn’t mean anything, but if you are regularly mix things like heavy cookie dough, it will certainly be a problem at some point. The spindle on the mixer is steel and the beater is aluminum, so if I was a betting man, I’d bet that the replacement beater will wear out or fail long before the spindle does. I’d say, keep an eye on it and if you notice the beater “wiggling” more than you are comfortable with, just replace it with an OEM part from KitchenAid. Incidentally, I have no way to measure it, but there is a tiny nick in the “enamel” finish of the new beater, which allows me to visually compare the 2 finishes. I would say with some certainty that the finish on the original beater is much thicker. Again, remember that I went 25 years on the original beater before I beat it up stupidly trying to mix very crunchy dog kibble with it. I’m willing to experiment with it, but you can bet that if/when it fails, I’ll be following my own advice and purchasing OEM. I’ve included some pictures of the dimensional differences for the inquisitive minority. Happy mixing!
