They do have a slight sheen when stretched, so I've knocked off one star for them not being completely matte, which would be more flattering. I would give these four stars for general thickness, quality, and compression, for the price, butt... (yes, BUTT)I have to knock off the three additional stars for the mockery these things made of my backside. The heavy compression covers both legs and the front side all the way to above the waist, as expected, but that is not true for the back. The heavy compression around the butt is shaped like a thong, running underneath the cheeks and up the center, compressing again at the waist, and leaving a regular tights-level stretch in both cheek areas. If you are of ample-bootied stock, as am I, this is a travesty.These were not advertised as "butt-lifting" leggings, nor was any indication given that the compression didn't cover the butt area (which should be a given for compression garments!) If you have a flat butt and are looking for some lift, these are the leggings for you. If you have a round butt and want it to resemble side-by-side beach balls jockeying for position as you try to squeeze your so round and, like, out there posterior down a narrow hallway, these are also the leggings for you, Becky.(I suppose one could wear them reversed, if making your fupa into a really impressive front-butt is your thing.) ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Extraordinary, high quality, fashionable, full length compression leggings! *by A***M on Reviewed in the United States on September 17, 2015* These leggings are absolutely outstanding and unlike anything I have been able to find in stores or elsewhere on the Internet. The material is very high quality and provides a unique combination of bicycle short type compression with the comfort and style of a full-length, soft pair of fashionable leggings! When I bought mine, there weren't any reviews written yet. But the picture and seller's description were so appealing to me that I decided to "take a chance" & order them without the benefit of any reviews. I am so glad I did! The leggings are even better than they appear in the picture/description and have exceeded my expectations in every way. I have found many wonderful products & great deals here on Amazon, but these full length compression leggings are one of my unexpectedly favorite "finds". I will definitely order more of these in the future and enthusiastically recommend this product & top-notch seller to others as well!P.S. If you are wondering about sizing, these leggings seem to be accurately marked for US sizes. When I ordered mine, I ordered one size up (an "L" instead of M) in order accommodate any possible difference between Asian & US sizing. I didn't need to do that. Theses leggings seem to be very true to US sizing. The "L's" are still amazing, but I am also planning on ordering an "M" for even more of the compression effect. Please note also that even though these leggings offer a lot of compression over the hips & thighs, they are not remotely binding @ the waist. They are so comfortable. Again, these leggings are amazing! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Can't Be Worn as Pants, Obvious Body Shaper *by C***A on Reviewed in the United States on August 4, 2016* I read the other reviews, some are saying these are too sheer to be worn as pants, others saying they are pants. I'm on Team Leggings-Are-Pants and assumed the "too sheer" people were just uber modest. They're solid black. However, these are not pants. You know how some shaper garments have those special thin fabric so your button doesn't get flattened? These have that, so they're super obviously meant to be an undergarment when worn. I'm keeping them though!
