Reel is actually easy to use. Has some really nice features and it’s already a fish catcher. I really like the anti-backlash featur. Especially when you are fishing deep

I LOVE these reels
This is my third reel. I have had two of them for three years and they have worked flawlessly for me. I was disappointed when they were not available for a while and I had to try another brand. It is okay but not as good as the Kaigen 1000.

I am seventy and have fished since the age of eight. For the last twenty years I have gotten into deep-drop fishing in Alaska for halibut and black cod. I own a Tanacom 750 and 500.I purchased a Banax Kaigen 1000 Electric Reel and took it to Alaska and used it for the past two weeks.My disappointment is near 75% compared to the Diawa units....but it was not simply the unit as I think it could have been repaired to fix the issue and make me happy.What disturbed me most was that I contacted the manufacturer (they were very nice) and they referred me to a USA company called Frigate Sales. During my call all the gentlemen did was tell me what I did wrong without listening to the primary issue. I told him I did not want to return it to Amazon if it could be fixed properly as I need a 1000 and the Banax seemed to be a very robust reel.His suggestion: If you're not happy, send it back to Amazon and get your money back.Frankly, if the issue could be fixed, or the gentleman could have asked some questions we might have solved the problem.This is not an Amazon issue, I am happy with Amazon.Bottom line: The reel is being returned to Amazon and I am buying a Tanacom 1000. Amazon is still going to get my money.
