Flimsy metal, leaves odd residue on towels
These bowls are average at best. I would have given only 2 stars, but I added one for the rubber non-skid rings, a nice feature. However, the product blurb says "high quality Stainless steel"; these are certainly not "high quality Stainless steel". The metal is remarkably thin; the bowls feel like they are made of aluminum, weight-wise. I don't find that to be a particlar problem, except the bowls make a loud popping noise when filled, due to the weight of the food pushing the bottom slightly out of shape. Then when the food is being eaten, the bottom pops back into place with a noise loud enough that I hear it as far as 2 rooms away. Even that is tolerable. My real concern is the metal itself. I noticed that after washing, if I use a white dish towel or a white paper towel to dry them, there is a very obvious grayish color left on the towel. I washed them repeatedly, used a sponge and tried a couple types of dishwashing detergent (Dawn, etc), but the grayish color continues to come off onto the towel each time. My concern is that there is some type of potentially toxic metal getting on to the food, then consumed by the animals. True "stainless steel", such as my cookware and other items I have, never leaves a metallic grayish color on the towels.I would not recommend these bowls to anybody.

Good bowls for the price
I had to get a new set of bowls since the pup chewed up her plastic ones (what was I thinking, buying plastic bowls?). So I chose these since they were stainless steel and also reasonably priced! For the price, they're great! They actually hold less volume than what I was expecting, but it still seems to be sufficient. I have a 70lb pit mix, so I have to fill up the water bowl multiple times a day (which would be the story for most bowls that aren't freakishly large). I will say that because of the design of the bowl, I can't fill it too full because water sloshes out rather easily during the 5ft space between the sink and where the bowls sit. She gets fed multiple times a day instead of everything in one sitting so I've never had a problem fitting all her food in the bowl. She usually doesn't get more than 2.5 cups at a time and that fits nicely, I'd say it could pretty easily fit 3.5 cups however. The rubber ring on the bottom does help slightly with it sliding around on the floor as she eats, but certainly doesn't stop it. I do like that the rubber rings are removable so I can take them off when washing or when I put the bowls in her kennel (to make sure she doesn't chew the rubber)

Very happy dogs
I babysit my dad's dogs occasionally when he comes into town and it can be a mess. I have three medium sized dogs of my own and he has three labs. I needed something so I wasn't using my mixing bowls anymore and these are fantastic. I can fit a few cups of food in them without an issue. They aren't heavy but still manage to stay put thanks to the rubber edges while the dogs are eating. I have tile floors and the bowl didn't move however they aren't aggressive eaters. For the price, you just can't beat these. Some previous negative comments were about stickers on the bottom of the bowls which would assuredly be aggravating however mine arrived with no stickers in separate sealed plastic bags. There wasn't an odor when I opened mine and the dogs had no issues eating from them and I trust their sense of smell over my own. Overall, I'm extremely happy. They're inexpensive and do what I expected.

Very Happy With These Bowls!
I really like these bowls! I have a 75 lbs Boxer and before I bought these he was eating out of these tiny little bowls made for a dog 1/3 of his size. But, now he has these huge bowls to eat from and he loves them. It is true that they are made of pretty thin metal, but they definitely get the job done, and really how thick does a dog bowl need to be. I love the rubber on the bottom, it keeps him from having to chase his bowl around the room. And I love the stainless steel design, it looks very stylish and clean. And I know some of the other reviews mentioned having a problem getting the sticker off the inside, but honestly I don't know what they are talking about. It came right off for me. Bottomline for the price these bowls are awesome! Honestly I'm thinking about buying more to give as gifts to my friends and family members who have dogs.

~~So Far, So Good~~
New boxer puppy in house so she needed a new set of bowls. Just seems right that she should have her own new set. Lots of her toys are 'hand me downs' but bowls are different, I think. These are well made and won't tip over easily. No accidents yet with spillage and she is able to get the puppy chow out of the other dish. Of course, with an older boxer in the house, she really wants to eat out of the older dog's bowl!Just like kids wanting to play with the toys of the other one. Game on for everyone!Highly recommended.

Kind of flimsy, but gets the job done
I ordered these for our new lab puppy, as our old stand feeder is currently too tall for him. I was looking for bowls I could easily throw in the dishwasher but not easy for the pup to tip or move around the kitchen. They came wrapped in a plastic bag, but it was unclear if that was from the manufacturer or from Amazon. There was no sticker to remove, so it seems that someone listen/read the previous reviews. I washed them by hand and I have to admit I'm curious to see how these work out; the metal is kind of flimsy and you can easily dent the bottom with a poke of the finger. The rubber non-skid bottom is really just a rubber seal around the edges of the bowl and easily comes off. I'm not sure if these will remain our "forever" bowls, or if they will be relegated to our travel/outside bowls.I will update this review once we have been using them for awhile.
