Good converter
setup was a little tricky matching the video output setting that worked best for our situation. This is our second one, the first we had for several years and stop working. The new is much better I hope it last for several years also.

Does what it is supposed to do, just fine.
The device did its job as needed. HDSDI signal to HD Component. No idea on the longevity of the product but so far, other Black Magic converters have held up fine.

Does the job, update firmware before use.
Works OK for down converting our PEG Access studio's HD-SDI video signal for the composite video that the cable/telco operators need for our SD channel on their video systems. You'll want to update to the most current firmware first by visiting Black Magic technical support to down the free software they provide for their converters. They've updated the firmware 4 times since May 2016 and are on version 7.0.6 (Sept 6, 2016). Converter would lock up (noisy video with white lines) when switching sources, which required a hard power cycle to reset. Firmware update fixed the issue.
