## Description

desertcart.com : Crosman CS2SXS Shockwave .22-Caliber Pellet NP Break Barrel Air Rifle, Black : Sports & Outdoors

Review: Very Good! - Crosman Shockwave .22 break barrel with the thick/suppressor barrel Has the features I was looking for, and at the top of the price point I was willing to pay - $150, not $200-$350 Pros -Open sights AND able to mount a scope, something I think all pellet rifles should include, bc if your scope breaks then what? No sights! See lots of rifles with scope only -Uses a nitrogen piston instead of spring so it's quieter & more accurate - they claim, and it is pretty quiet and accurate IMO - Shoots straight through tin cans of corn/potatoes! Or 2 foam archery targets back to back, and then sticks in the fence 5 yards behind the targets! The thing is powerful! - I'm assuming the wider barrel also supports some noise reduction, as I haven't read it anywhere - But either way, I really like it because smacking the barrel to open & charge the rifle doesn't hurt your hand over time like common skinny barrels do, since it's spread over a larger area. It's probably heavier, but worth the trade off I think. Cons - I would really have preferred the open sights to be metal, they're plastic. The front should be ok, and it doesn't appear to come off. The rear is removable, and it's the one I'd worry about breaking if it got hit from the side hard enough. Maybe I could find a metal replacement, but it seems sturdy enough for now - It would've been a nice touch to include sling points, although it would up the price, and I can probly rig something up so not a big deal - It's pretty hefty at like 7 or eight pounds? Also not a big deal tho, I got it for back yard plinking and pest control, not for taking hiking. But it's heavier than my step brother's youth single shot 20 gauge. -Will either try to make a case for it out of the box it came in by adding foam/duct tape, or break & buy a case Sighted in the "iron" sights first, then put the scope on & got it sighted in at about 15 yards as well - Making nice small groups now! Over all, very happy with this rifle, will hopefully get the opportunity to take out some fat rats with it!
Review: Great gun! - Still fairly loud but a great solid gun.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great gun!

Still fairly loud but a great solid gun.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Fantastic Air Rifle!!!
*by E***O on July 6, 2024*

This is an amazing air rifle for the price. To be clear, this is no HW95 or TX200. Those are a whole different level of airguns. If that is what you are looking for, keep saving your money. But this may be the finest air rifle available under $200. Build quality is decent. The plastic stock is sturdy, and doesn't flex too much. Barrel lockup is good. Recoil pad is more decorative than functional. Initially, this was gritty to cock; but after about 100 shots it smoothed out. The built-in moderator helps a little, but don't expect this to be quiet! Power output is roughly 20 ft/lbs, enough to hunt small game. Accuracy is astounding. With 14.3 and 16.1 gr pellets, this shoots a dime sized group at 15 yds. But once I tried 25 gr slugs, it put them through the same hole! There is one negative, however. The trigger on this air rifle is horrible. Yes, it is two stage; and yes, it is adjustable. But no amount of adjustment will make it shoot nicely. Best plan on shooting this from a rest, because with a trigger this bad you won't be able to hold the rifle steady. Overall, I am quite satisfied with the performance of this air rifle at it's price point. If Crosman would improve the trigger, they could raise the price and nobody would complain. UPDATE: after about 500 shots, the plastic rear breech sight fell off. Luckily none of the pieces were lost, so I reattached it with Loctite. I would recommend coating all the screws with Loctite before using!
