FH-S722BS Double Din CD Car Stereo with Bluetooth and USB/AUX

WOW !! What a big difference from the stock 2012 Mazda3 head unit!! Replaced all of the speakers & tweeters, added a JL sub box & amp for just the sub, and now there is an incredibly fabulous system. Soft, Loud, or just Rattle the Mirror- CRAZY LOUD & CLEAN!! I didn’t want the touchscreen & wanted a master volume KNOB for easy adjustments! Smooth Bluetooth connection...Easy intuitive interface & lights around the perimeter of the unit. Each song title is displayed. Highly recommend & at this price of less than $200 delivered, can’t miss. Make sure to research the correct wiring harness for Pioneer, double din mounting bracket for the respective car/truck you are putting it into, and you will need to also buy an antenna to listen to local radio stations. $20 or so. Also, with this unit installed, you will NOT be able to control this Pioneer head unit from your steering wheel mounted, stock controls...dkw Pioneer still rocks big time! Even for this old dude!! It's a great product just what I was looking for

The wiring in pretty straight forward with the exception of a mute/dim wire. The only "FAQ" on the Pioneer FH-S722BS dealing with wires is a generic color code, which shows a mute wire. However the S722BS does not have that wire. One can "mute" the unit easily via the app but that really isn't the core issue. And incoming phone calls or messages automatically turn off the unit - which is exactly what happens if the wiring harness's brown mute wire is not hooked up. Beyond this the volume does not lower (dim) when in reverse or when detecting objects beside the car, or behind the car. Very annoying. And the Pioneer tech support is non existent. Minus 5 stars on that fact. On the plus side the unit sounds great and as long as you use the app the set up is fairly easy. Trying to do any sort of set up on the unit itself is somewhat of a mess. The volume knob is the menu know, the large triangle button only serves one purpose - to open up Google Maps. The "On/Off" switch is the "SRC" button. And so on...really you need to see it to understand it and why it is not intuitive.

I have put a Pioneer cd player in almost everyone of my cars. I have never ever had a problem with any of them. My Mazda 3 has a Kenwood Excelon cd player and it has been really good too. I have had issues with Kenwood in the past though. I had an Alpine cd player until someone stole it out of my car, I really loved that cd player too. My current Pioneer FH-S722BS has been great. I have it installed in my 2003 Tacoma and I really love it. I'm going to buy a Pioneer car amp and a 12" Subwoofer.

I bought this as a replacement for a much more costly JVC that lasted only one year and 3 days. Warranty was for one year on the JVC. This model pioneer was by far more cost effective and it is much easier to operate and works great I prefer it and I would buy it again.

I bought this as replacement for the Boss that I sent back. It sounds awesome !!!. the biggest thing for me was the large volume control knob and I could read the clock while I was driving. Like others have said, sometimes it's hard to read in the daytime, but I bought a little stickon dash clock for 7 dollars so that solved that. At night, of course, it's real easy to read. Definitely recommend

have to be an aerospace engineer to use even 1\4 of the functions. Very hard to use. Purchased in nov., now june and still unable to make phone call or receive phone call. They hear me, I hear nothing. Cannot receive a phone call while in my vehicle. biggest piece of junk I have ever purchased. DO NOT PURCHASE! Just go buy a cheapy and you will get more value for your dollar.

I really wanted to like this radio, all the features, the radio sounded great, CD player, Aux in on the front is a big plus.....I installed the radio at night and it looked great, see the picture. The selection of colors for the borders, the info were nice......I was shocked when I turned it on in daylight.....I couldn't read the central information for the radio, even on max illumination I couldn't read the info in daylight, very disappointing from a name brand radio. I've since seen the same complaints. I'm surprised Pioneer didn't notice this flaw, it's so obvious, also navigating the menus wasn't intuitive, very frustrating....... The picture I included was taken at night.

Awesome quality for your dollar,, great sound awesome equalizer. This radio has SWC steering wheel control with proper PAC module.

This is the third Pioneer Double Din, have one in all my vehicles. Absolutely love Pioneer, they make quality products. The Shipment came 2 days early, packaging was in perfect shape. The Headunit itself is a great product. Definitely recommend... Also, for those installing Headunit in a 2010 F150 you need a Fuse Tap for the Switched 12v Power Source. I tapped into Fuse #37 (10amp) because the Factory Radio runs on Data (DC) and turns on/off from the computer signal. You can Tap into a Power Wire in the Steering Column or A Power Wire under the Driver's Side Dash. To save yourself a Pain In The Butt just buy a Fuse Tap (Fuse #37) and run a wire from that to your Headunit Power Wire (Red Wire). Good Luck!

Cant dee the display in the day but sound is amazing, adjustments and app are amazing but quite agitating cant see barley the display or the border color
