Great for Nail Trimming a Great Pyrenees
My Great Pyrenees battles me everytime I need to trim her nails, but these make the job so much easier. There is no strain to cinch them together to make a cut, and the blocking flap keeps me from cutting off a safe amount each time. They are a great value for the money and do a great job with my great big dog.

Good quality
These work a lot better than the guillotine type. They were very sharp, had a safety guard & were easy to use. I recommend these!!

Terrific clipper: works efficiently and is painless for you and your pet
Nail cutting for dogs is always a difficult experience - both for you and your dog. My three pugs all have foot fears! None of them like their feet touched so it was always a wrestling experience trimming their nails. Each of them has different foot issues this nail clipper has solved: one has nails that grow faster than the other two put together; one has somewhat deformed feet, with her nails growing straight out; the third one has diabetes so his feet are sensitive and you cannot make a mistake so you cause bleeding! Between the three of them, I had given up nail trimming entirely (I had one of those awful guillotine cutters) and was paying $10 per dog to a groomer to trim their nails. This nail clipper from Epica solved that and has paid for itself several times over! This trimmer has a number of advantages over other trimmers, especially those common guillotine pet nail trimmers:1) the rubber on the handles make it easy to grip so you can hold it well and it won't slip.2) It is ergonomically correct for your hands so you can use all your hand strength to easily cut those thick nails.3) It is sharp so you can go fast and fully cut through the nail on the first try. There is nothing worse than having to keep cutting the same nail over and over again because your cutter isn't sharp enough - it's like torturing the poor dog. When nail trimming a dog, speed is as important as accuracy!4) And, finally you can actually see what you are doing and where you are cutting (you can't really see what you're doing on those guillotine cutters). It even has a little guide on it to help you so you don't go too far and cut into the nail quick. That makes it mistake proof ... and when you make a mistake cutting a dogs nails and cause them pain and/or draw blood you have a disaster on your hands. Not only do they never want their nails cut again but, if they're diabetic like one of my boys, you can cause major infections if you cause bleeding. This unit is exactly like the one the vet has -- and now I'm equipped to cut nails as well as they are (and they charge even more than the groomer!). Thanks for this -- it has really helped me care for my dogs. Now ... if I could just get my 2 cats to just sit still for a nail trimming.............!

Works great on thick Pitbull nails!
We have a 75 lb pitbull w/ VERY thick nails. We’ve struggled to find clippers or grinders that will trim her nails without cracking them or taking forever to get through them. She hates having her nails done, so it was important to find something that could do the job quickly and effectively. These were it! They smoothly cut through her whole nail on the first try w/ no cracking, splitting or having to go back to get the other 1/2 of the nail on a second try. The rubber grip & sturdiness of these also gave me confidence that they wouldn’t slip & cause me to cut more than I should. I would definitely recommend these for dogs with thick nails!

ACTUALLY WORK- large dogs/thick nails
Photos for reference on how thick my dogs nails are. (I know the nails are still long, that’s because I haven’t been able to cut them for a while because I didn’t have good enough clippers. Now I’m nervous to cut them too short in one sitting so I do it in stages) I have large dogs with THICK black nails. I have been on the search for nail clippers that actually work and I finally found them!I have tried so many clippers that claim to be sharp and claim to be for large breed dogs and they are always terrible. I finally googled what the best ones were and found these as recommended for large breed dogs. So I ordered them. They are actually sharp and actually cut through the nails quickly! The only down side is the lock slips while you squeeze if you hold them a certain way but I just taped it so it would not move. Easy work around And I’m willing to put up with a little tape for sharp clippers that actually work! Some reviews say the clippers were awkward to home or too large for small hands. I didn’t have this issue. I am 5’4” so my hands are not large at all and I had no issues using these clippers. My dogs sat there quietly and allowed me to cut their nails. They usually let me cut them but it’s typically a struggle to get them to sit still. With these I had both large dogs done in 5 minutes total.

These were very easy to use.
This was exactly what I was looking for to cut/trim my dogs nails. The nail cutters were easy to use and did a great job.

Not any better
Large dog nail clippers? Clippers are a little larger but don't clip any better than the cheap ones.
