As a 80's kid, The Dark Crystal is one of my favorite movies. This is a beautiful book, full of amazing artwork and descriptions of all the creatures from that world.

This book is incredible! If you are a Dark Crystal fan, you have to get this book! There is so much detail, art, information about the movie and all the creatures you did see or did not see. You get to explore the animals, characters, geology of everything Dark Crystal.I absolutely loved reading through the different characters, their names, likes/dislikes, roles, etc. I had no idea! Also so many creatures that I personally do not remember seeing that I wish were real! The detail is amazing, the information is exciting, and the art is beautiful. This is a must buy if you are a huge fan of the movie or the world that Jim Henson creates, he makes some amazing worlds and details no one has come up with, love this book. Get this book, highly recommend!

The Crystal age of resistance was one of the most beautiful and well-conceived TV shows I've ever seen, mixing extremely modern effects with the practical effects of a Muppets from the original Dark Crystal. This show was a visual cornucopia of delights and this book. This visual Beastie area allows you to see all the creatures from concept art. It's just a delight. It wonderful coffee table but for a nerd like me and my partner.

Got as a gift for family who loved the movie and has watched the mini series that was released. Turns out her son also loved the unique and magically dark world of Jim Henson. Considering rebuying for myself.

Dark Crystal (original) fans must have this book!

Good product

I ordered these for my son's birthday. He is a big fan of the Dark Crystal and said the book is perfect. I was not there but from what I could see over the computer link, the images looked great. He said it has creatures from the movie, TV series and the comics combined.

As somewhat of a Dark Crystal completist, I was really looking forward to reading this book. I have several of the related books from the original film, as well as the behind-the-scenes book for The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance. I also have read the Archaia "Creation Myths" series (and enjoyed it).If you are a fan of the film, the recent Netflix series, and the graphic novels, you will definitely want this book for your collection. The illustrations are beautiful and very reminiscent of the work of Brian Froud on the original film, as well as his other work (ex. Fairies). The accompanying text gives additional background to the story of both the film, TV series and some of the graphic novels/ comic series. Reading some of the descriptions of creatures both seen and unseen, makes me wonder what interesting stories the people behind the Age of Resistance had in mind for (now unproduced) future seasons. What a bummer that it was cancelled by Netflix! However, we can still enjoy this book and imagine what might have been.

Imaginé que sería más pequeño, pero me sorprendió la cantidad de páginas y la calidad que tiene por ese precio.Es de pasta dura y las letras de la pasta tienen relieve. Las hojas de las páginas son dobles y todas las ilustraciones muy nítidas, así como las letras.Sin duda el mejor libro que he comprado, de la mejor saga que he visto.

It's GREAT!!Exactly what i expected of a bestiary!!Now i really want a Dark Crystal anatomy book!But yeah, it is a Bestiary of all the Creatures of Thra!you do feel like readin' an adventurer's log of every fauna he saw!

Lo tenía en el punto de mira desde que vi la serie de Cristal Oscuro.Edición de tapa dura con letras del título (portada y lomo) en relieve y un acabado brillante. No es demasiado grande en dimensiones y para el grueso de páginas que tiene, se siente ligero. El papel de las páginas es mate y bastante distinto al tacto de otros libros de arte conceptual que he visto.Vino con una esquina un poco golpeada (portada exterior) pero por lo demás, en perfecto estado y precintado.Muestra en cada doble página múltiples bocetos de lápiz y acuarela (o anilina) con un par de párrafos de descripción e inspiración de cada criatura, además de que en la primera sección incluyen los gelfling, skeksis, místicos y más. Casi podría llamarlo un "libro de estudio de campo" con apuntes de las mismas criaturas de Thra.Lo único a tener en cuenta es que está en inglés y que el tipo de fuente se asemeja a "letra hecha a mano" de pequeño tamaño. Pensaba que vendría con cinta de registro pero no es el caso (típica cinta de tela que sirve como marcapáginas)Por lo demás, 100% recomendado a los que les guste del diseño de criaturas, fans de la saga y arte de Brian Froud, la ilustradora ha hecho un trabajo magnífico.

J'ai adorée le film et la série The Dark Crystal. Si vous êtes fan de cet univers, ce livre est indispensable. Les illustrations sont juste sublimes, le livre est très complets et nous emmène à la découverte de toutes les créatures du monde de Thra. J'ai beaucoup aimé découvrir les illustrations magnifiques de cet ouvrage. C'est un très bel objet de collection. Attention néanmoins, le livre n'existe que en anglais pour le moment.Bref, si vous êtes fan de l'univers de Jim Henson, ou si vous aimez simplement les créatures fantastiques, je recommande ce livre.
