I have always been a massive Logitech and Microsoft keyboard fan and I have had quite a lot of them in the past. Latest one I had was Microsoft one i had for about 2 years until it just didnt function properly. When it broke i looked on amazon for a cheap keyboard for now and there were thousands,i saw this one had solar charging option and for the price i thought it aas too good to be true. But i wanted to give it a chance. Wow...I can't believe what a great quality keyboard it is.Straight out of the box it was already charged, and as soon as i plugged it to my windows pc it recognised it and worked straight away. I bought the keyboard for about 4 months ago now and i still havent hsd any problems and the solar charging must be working because i never charged it in any other way ( not even sure if you can ) It is very quiet, very much like a laptop's keyboard, same feel to it,it is such a joy to use it.it also looks very cool and it is very sturdy, i am hoping it will last me a long time. I just cant believe the price of it,for this quality it shouls be 3 or 4 times higher. Get it!!!You wont regret it!!

UPDATE OCTOBER 2022, - amazing customer service , had issue with previous bought keyboard, experiencing not holding charge after 2 years, but i had just gone a week over warranty but had been experiencing 4 weeks earlier, and tried to resolve issue, , but still this company arranged for a new one free under warranty to be sent to me, they replied quick to my inquiry and resolved the issue straight away and sent the updated model, which has usb charging too. excellent service from this company. thank you. I STAND WITH FULL 5 STARS, product and also customer service, HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO ALL. Arrived quick and packaged well, item itself feels very well made, sturdy, nice desk hold, firm rubber grips, does not slide around, feels weighty yet comfortable, when i received it, i used straight away, the placing of mine is not in a well lit area or natural light, but worked for 3 days, before it stopped, so i thought ok, will try 2 tests, one under lamp lighting, one under natural lighting, lamp test, it seemed to charge, as keyboard started responding after few minutes, then i left it in natural light all day to get a full charge, its been a week and still working great, the caps lock has a led light clearly visible, unfortunately not for num lock or any other key, only other led light is the power on, there is a rocker switch to turn on and off, when not using, the keys are almost silent, very nice feel, and you have a good force back feel to them, nicely spaced, with a few custom keys too, the solar panels are nicely arranged at top in rectangle shape blocks, look great and modern and have a easy to wipe feel to them, the keyboard response is instant, i have not seen any lag in input, and is working flawlessly, desk looks amazing without the wires from keyboard and also from a wireless mouse, the only negative point i think is the fact the keyboard keys are not backlit, which would have made this impressive keyboard really shine, but its not a huge thing, as keys are clearly visible even in dull lighting, i am very impressed with this keyboard and loving it, i even use it for gaming, and have felt no lags from it, works just as good as my previous wired keyboard, i will see how long the keyboard lasts on a full charge, as i do use my keyboard a lot, and i don't switch it off when not using, this is probably the bets keyboard I've used by far, and not to mention it looks so slick and neat and compliments the desk really well.

EDIT: 2.5 years on and all's still well. Sterling service with no sign of wear and tear despite regular use. Zero issues with power / batteries. Still sometimes missing the small Enter key but that's down to me. EDIT: 18 months on from purchase and all is still well. Usage has reduced a little in recent months but keys are as responsive as when I first had it and the lettering showing no signs of wear. The batteries are still OK too (I make a point of cleaning the charge panels regularly with a slightly moistened micro fibre cloth). EDIT: 9 months on from purchase and it's still going strong. The keys are as responsive as when I started using it, the lettering shows no sign of wear and the batteries haven't played up once - they seem to charge fine from ambient light. I've given it a dust every now and then and always made sure the charging panels are clear and clean. Solved the wrist rest issue by getting some foam under the keyboard which raised it about 1cm. I work between 5 PCs / Macs and this is my favourite keyboard. First week of use so it's early days but liking it so far. Pros - quiet; very much like a laptop keyboard, - dimpled keys help my typing accuracy, - weighty metal chassis helps keep the keyboard in place on my desk, - responsive, short throw keys help my typing speed, - price; this feels more expensive than it cost. Cons (minor) - Return key is smaller than standard; OK for me with use but might put off some, - low profile; my current wrist rest is too high.

I like this keyboard very much. I like typing on it, it feels solid and the keys are sensitive enough not to require hammer blows to get them to work - and it is solar powered, so no charging cables etc etc. For the price I paid (just over £21) I really am very happy. However, I nearly sent it back as I had a couple of episodes where it didn't work. I switched the keyboard on about 7 days after receiving it and it wouldn't work - there was no indication of any power in the device, even though it had been out in the natural light of my room all day for the past week. I charged it up in the window for around 6 hours and then it seemed to be working. Switched it off and the next morning, it wasn't working again. I was ready to send it back, but when I unplugged the USB dongle it suddenly registered and, when I plugged it back in it worked. Since then it has been fine, but I have not turned it off again. I was wary as I read a few other reviews where there were similar problems, but I decided not to send it back as it comes with a two year warranty and I will see how things go - as I said above, I really like the keyboard so wanted to keep it! That was all about 10 days ago and it has been working fine ever since - perhaps the trick is to not turn it off! The only other negatives are that, as someone else mentioned, the \ and | keys are functions of Z and X which is a slight niggle, but I don't really use them that much, so I don't have a major issue about this. The ENTER key is smaller than my old keyboard, but you can get used to that pretty quickly and a couple of keys are slightly differently placed from my previous keyboard but, again, I got used to this pretty quickly - they are still in the generally expected location!! All in all, I am very impressed with this keyboard. I spent a long time looking for a wireless keyboard and, as a tight-fisted old man, I didn't want to pay upwards of £50, but most budget ones had a lot of poor reviews, so this was a nice find. So far, so good....fingers crossed the power issue was a temporary glitch down to me, rather then the device.

Excellent customer service! Although one of the two units did fail after six months, they reached out and replaced it for free. Based on this experience I'd recommend Arteck products! This product is excellent. The only improvements I can think of would be a low energy blue tooth option so we can ditch the dongle, and batteries do wear out eventually so if they were less destructively replaceable, or maybe used something like a lithium hybrid capacitor with several orders of magnitude longer cycle life. The keyboard was excellent for 18 months, then the control button was constantly pressed, but only after the keyboard had been turned on for a minute or two. But both recognised as newly being pressed when you pressed them. Same on multiple computers. Tried cleaning the keyboard and electrical contact cleaner. Checked the battery voltage and it was rock solid and within normal operating range. Wasn't a dead battery issue as far as I can tell. It has two 1.2V 600mAh AAA Ni-MH batteries in it in series to make a nominal 2.4V. Battery voltage when it was failing was 2.65V, was under bright light, and had been in the sun for a long time before to get a good charge whilst turned off. Also behaved the same on a rock solid bench PSU. Tried the full operating range of Ni-MH voltage. If you want to get it open, it's glued and heat steaked together. You have to cut the glue around the edge with a sharp knife, then get a sharp spudger in the "gap" and crack it open. Then slowly peal the two halves apart, snapping the ~50 heat steaks in the process, making it never go back together again without double sided tape or glue. It's a shame. But I have a second, so I'll hold off on calling this certain shenanigans in case the other comfortably surpasses the same age without issue. In the mean time, I bought a Logitech MK270. Update: The Logitech MK270 is functional but awful ergonomics. Can't recommend. Was missing the Arteck. Then they got in touch and said that the failure was rare but these things happen. Even 99.999% perfect reliability results in 1 in 100000 failures. Shipping hundreds of thousands of products, these things will happen. They said they'd like to send me a replacement. I have received the replacement free of charge and it's working perfectly so far! It makes no sense for them to design failure in if they're actively searching out failed units to replace. Their customer service is exemplary. Far better than Logitech, and so far, still far more reliable.

Works straight out of the box. good response from standby mode. When I start typing it responds straight away. Keys are slightly dented so the fingertips always stay on key. The keypress has a nice amount of travel, perfect for me. Also a nice resistance and tactile feel when typing and is very quiet at the same time. it's a low profile keyboard in that it is not tall and easy on the wrists and hands. I have sat on the sofa typing five meters away from the PC with no glitches or delays in typing response time. This keyboard feels like a good quality product. So far I can only sing praise about this wireless solar keyboard for this price. I love the fact I don't have to search for or fit wires anymore. My desk is looking so much more tidier now. I will update this feedback when I have used it for a longer time period than one day. In this short term review all I can say it's perfect for my hands straight away. I did not have to 'get use to' this keyboard. Typed on it like my old trusted keyboard. Update: have had this Keyboard now for 9-10 month now and used it nearly every day. The keys are still responsive and tactile and not a single one is broken...I game and usually I break the W,A,D, S keys fairly quickly. Still intact now. Awesome and brilliant keyboard. I write a lot and game a lot. Easy to write on and the height and angle of the board is low. I love gaming on it. I was worried that it would be to slow as its running on bluetooth dongle but IT WAS PERFECT. NO DELAY. The solar-powered keyboard is always charged. I sit by a window that rarely have Direct sunlight so it seems to be ok with background light, screen light and the table light. If this one ever break down, I will buy another one. According to my taste and experience, BEST KEYBOARD I EVER HAD as an all-round board.

For the price this keyboard seems great value for money, I wasn't expecting too much for less than £20 and to be fair when I opened the box I got a very nice surprise, the question that hit me the most was ''How can other keyboard makers charge ridiculous amounts of money for similar products''. Build quality is impressive, slim, quiet heavy, it has that quality feel to it too. Operationally, well, its not a 'data input' keyboard, this keyboard wouldn't be any good for somebody who requires a keyboard to do a lot of 'typing' with, the keys are low profile with zero feedback, they keyboard sits too 'flat' compared to a more ergonomic design, however, it would be ideal has a keyboard for occasional use, ergo, a media centre pc keyboard as it looks great, very impressive visually. I have passed all 'Data Input' tests and like to think I can tell a 'typers' keyboard when I see one and use one, this isn't that keyboard. Be aware of this. Longevity, well this seems the keyboards achilles heel according to other review I have read, hence my 3 stars award, if I get a year out of it I will be happy and will amend my feedback accordingly, if it goes up in smoke, then I will amend feedback accordingly also. Update - After about a month the keyboard is fine, it doesn't get a lot of use as it is used on my media centre pc, I would say the solar charging can be a bit haphazard, sometimes it isn't immediately responsive but when I move it ( from tv stand to floor , 3ft) into direct sunlight from the window it works perfectly. I always review products in a fair, considered, honest manner and belive if any company has confidence in their products they should avoid messaging me and trying to get me to alter my reviews as 'reviews' from users are meant to be helpful to prospective buyers. Update 24.02.2022 - As often, the true quality of any product is often determined by its longevity. Having used this keyboard very little I am disapointed overall. After only 4 months my keyboard appears to be posessed, it sparodically works, often begins to type number 1's to infinity, more often than not it just doesnt work. I wont bother sending it back for a replacement or refund, I arent that hard up for £20 and a replacement would only be sending me the same rubbish. I can't recommend this keyboard at all, it looks great but operation is non existant in my case, save your money and buy something better, false economy rarely works.

So I needed a new keyboard - new laptop's keyboard was too small to work from home and I wanted something with a separate number pad. All good. Almost. Major issue for IT people - no "\" key (backslash). So typing UNC paths is a nuisance - \\servername\foldername\subfoldername - to get the \ you need to press Fn and z . I could get used to this - but going to another keyboard would then have me doing the same thing - why on Earth would they design a UK keyboard this way? There's no dedicated | (pipe) key either. I'm mulling over what to do with this now - in every other respect it's superb. Highly responsive, quiet and otherwise well laid out. I also bought a mouse from the same company and I only need one dongle for both keyboard and mouse. Out of the box it doesn't pair with the mouse dongle but the pairing is pretty simple - it's mentioned in the vendors answers: Unplug the (mouse) dongle Switch the keyboard off Switch the keyboard back on and press Esc-k - the green on-light starts to flash slowly Plug the (mouse) dongle into the laptop The green light flashes quickly and the keyboard and mouse both work off the one dongle Edited: So, the best way to find out how good a company is is when something goes wrong. In my case the keyboard simply wouldn't charge. 2 days in the sun would yield 5 minutes of life but no more. I emailed customer support, more in hope than expectation, but was pleasantly surprised to receive a reply. Three days later and I've just received a new keyboard free of charge under warrantee. I'd have no hesitation in recommending the company now. And, part of my initial review was a complaint that the keyboard was difficult to use for IT operations, due to the awkward use of the \ and | keys. The replacement keyboard has fixed this issue - there's now a proper key, where it should be. And another real improvement is that there is now a USB-C charge capability for charging (in addition to the solar charging). It really looks like the company has listened to people's criticisms and resolved them. I have changed the review score from 4 to 5 stars due to this. Highly recommended product and company.
