Love this
I love the color. I have hair that doesn't accept color easily so I did add a 20 developer which helped. For my hair this is more of a temporary dye, but that's my hair. The developer is helping it to stay longer plus washing my hair in cold water and rinsing in cold water is helping the color stay longer. I know it's called metallic, I'm not seeing that, but again, it could be my hair type. Either way, I will be signing up for the subscription to get this every month for touch ups. My hair is blonde, gray and white, I didn't bleach my hair first to remove any color, (that makes me nervous), but this product did still color my whole head relatively even. I put it on the length of my hair first then onto my roots last and let it sit the required time. I have very long hair, past my behind, so two boxes did the job and there was no left over product. There was also no left over conditioning product that comes with it as I do have a lot of hair. The smell, well if a bit on the eye watering side and even the conditioner didn't cover it up or remove it, but it did dissipate in a few days. My hair felt soft and not dried out. So I will be using this on a regular basis now!

Itโs does exactly what it says IF YOU FOLLOW DIRECTIONS!
I started with jet black hair. First I used a color stripper to pull out the black. Then coated my hair with K18 leave in mask. Didnโt wash for three days. This brought my hair to a burnt orange color. Then I used wella developer- a 30- with manic panic bleach. Coated in K18 leave in mask and my hair was lifted to a 9. Again- no washing for three days to allow the hair to rest and let the k18 do its job. Washed finally. Coated again in k18 and waited two days- then applied this hair color. Most importantly- when using got2b- follow the directions. Rinse the color out only- do not use shampoo and conditioner- thatโs why so many reviews say the color washed right down the drain. Rinse throughly in cold water- not hot- not lukewarm. Apply the after color conditioner- let it set for the minimum two minutes- I let it set for 5-10. Rinse. Towel dry. I got the exact color on the box the first time around. Hereโs the thing- this will not work on hair color any darker than a 7-8. So thereโs a lot of reviews that say itโs crapโฆ.it's not- if youโre literate. After youโve towel dried- another healthy coat of k18 wonโt hurt. Then again- donโt wash your hair for 72 hours. After processing your follicles are wide open- and using shampoo will take the color right out. Let your natural oils return- use a damn good mask- and follow directions. For 12$ this is the best silver gray Iโve ever used. Will 100% use it again. Have been to numerous salons looking to get my natural gray blended and no one could do it.

Dark ruby hair dye ๐
I loved it I'm a natural medium brown level 6-5 and this is my results using this box color. I would get it again. It fades pretty nicely about a month or less of vibrant color without touch ups. I would use a red semi-permanent to keep the color vibrant and this lasted me 3 or 4 months without needing to touch up again. Without a semi-permanent I would say you'd need to touch up monthly or more depending on how much you wash your hair. I don't use very expensive products I use all my products from the drugstore.

Not much dying going on. Not much metallic either
I've been dying my hair this shade of red for about 30 years now when I get around to it. So I may do it once or twice a year when I first started I kept it up pretty regular. But I figured hey metallic that's a cool look I'm going to go with that. Well not only did the car not last very long and now I have hair that looks for like I don't want to say pink I'd like to say sort of like faded red hair I think that's the color that I'm looking for on the color wheel. As for metallic? I never noticed it. in fact, I was distracted by the fact that I didn't feel like my hair had been dyed dark enough to match the shade on the box that I didn't even notice the lack of metallic or even iridescent qualities. I guess these people that give it good reviews are pleased with whatever comes out. But I don't see how something that doesn't dye your hair thoroughly and I have short hair as man, I used to have really long hair in college, but now it's cut short with long bangs hey I could use half of the bottle to get my hair but I go ahead and use as much as I can and let it sit extra time. Mainly cuz I have to clean up and then get a towel around my shoulder so I can sit and not stay in the couch or after putting Vaseline on my forehead and behind my ears and back of my neck to make sure that there's a barrier between the die and my skin it didn't stain my skin that would mean it was working really well but with the Vaseline there it doesn't usually happen like it used to with any product and this didn't bother to dye hair either.. I know it's just a few bucks maybe five some cases seven dollars difference to get something like splat brand if you want to get a metallic crazy color and I know they've got some tamer ones but I wanted metallic red and I got muted flat and then I don't know sort of a light magenta?

Love, love, love
Please read all: loves at the beginning and pro tips in the middle and cons/dislikes at the end. Thank you. *** very easy to use *** smells great, does not have an obxnious chemical smell *** Dyes your hair quickly *** worked very well to dye my hair even over non metallic brand splat ombre pink/violet ( I had that color at the top of my hair) and this brand and shade blue metallic at the bottom (the last picture shows how the color my hair was before it faded out to a gray washed out version of it hence gave me the desire to dye it this time all one color) I decided to color my entire head all in the same shade and it covered very well. } Even though it washes out a bit each time you wash it, I love that you can work in the yard or house and work up a sweat and the dye stays on your hair unlike other hair dyes where when you sweat it runs down your face and neck. You can get sweaty and not turn into smurfette with this brand. } This color and brand dyed my hair the exact color to the box color shades predicted. I've never before had hair color that matched the box but this did. } I have always hated having my hair a dark color but I love this dark color. Depending on the lighting my hair looks dark blue to violet and sometimes dark brown/black in some camera shots without the flash on it even looks normal dark brown to black. PRO TIPS: 1.} Cover your counter in old towels or piddle pads (does stain counters and showers and skin if not washed off asap) before starting to mix the hair dye. 2.} Use lotion> I used the dollar tree chamomile relaxing-sleep lotion. Apply around edges of your hair line widely/thick, apply on shoulders, chest. This hydrates your skin as a bonus but even better when you inevitably as we all do-> The ends of your hair that is coated in the dye touches other areas of your body by using the lotion then when you rinse your hair the lotion keeps it from dying your skin and face blue/ purple. If it does get on area without lotion on it quickly/asap wash with soap and water otherwise your skin will be purple/blue til it fades off. 3.}. Other people says this dyes your white showers I have learned this is true if you let the color sit and dry on your white or light colored showers/counters/walls but if you wash it with water and even use soap and rinse it very well before it dries it will not color or stain. 4.} I did have a few hair strand loss but not a lot. Use the conditioner the kit provides. It made my hair feel so healthy and soft. 5.} Make sure to massage the dye in and even comb through it with a non metal comb then massage in again. This helps to evenly coat each hair strand, and seems to help the dye to work or activate better, and you get a massage at the same time. THE CONS 1.} The permanent color does fade quickly to a washed out color that I absolutely hated. It does wash out a little bit each time you wash your hair. 2.} It will dye your white/light colored towels and will not come out. 3.} It does not color dark hair which is a huge bummer. I hate that. You must bleach your hair to blondest blonde possible before using this brand. It will work on light color hair just not dark hair. 5.} It will dye your skin and showers/counters if you do not heed my tips. 6.} Make sure each time you wash your hair after the initial dying process that you rinse your shower out very well. Over all I will buy this brand and color again.

Pleasantly Surprised!
Pleasantly surprised by the results after using several of the other big brands out there. Possibly better than the salon color Iโve gotten in the past as well. I have a lot of long hair and I only used one package, pigment is very intense. Applied to roots first for 20-30 minutes and then applied to the mid section and ends for last 5-10. Takes quite some time to rinse out color (when you see water is nearly clear). Hopefully it will fade to a nice strawberry blonde. Pics are the following day before washing, last pic is my before color.

Was not permanent
I had high hopes for this but was not impressed. The color was beautiful and just like the packaging when I first put it in. (I also had pre lightened hair) But as time went on and I washed it (and days where I just rinsed my hair) the color kept coming out with the water. It went from a bronzed beautiful copper to a few shades above strawberry blonde. Like a natural light redhead color. I probably won't be getting this again from the entire amount of coloring fading for a "permanent" hair color.

My Mom is 83 and used this product all the time. Her hair is spectacular. Every where she goes people compliment her. She looks like sheโs 70. Very stylish.
