A wonderful mini tripod
TLDR ~Shockingly Stable ~Wonderful construction ~Nice solid feel ~Screws are pleasant to work and have a nice firm feel when torqued down. The Review I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by this little tripod when I opened up the box. I wasn't exactly certain of what to expect, but for the price I was expecting something that was a bit better than something you would grab at Walmart, but not by much. This tripod is far better. This little thing feels solid as a rock, and the rubber feet on it actually work to keep it in place, I know that sounds like a strange statement, but I am so used to having to work out silly little contraptions to get a camera steady and low to the ground that this SmallRig minitripod really made me very happy. There really is not much more to say about it, wonderful premium feel. And the most important place for a device to feel good is when you are moving it. The tension screws feel great, when it feels tight in the hand its tight on the device. Again a strange statement, but its very pleasant to not have to really bear down on a screw to make sure that its not going to slip on you. I am using this tripod for holding up a camera during macro work with a Manfrotto 454 slider on top, it does a great job of holding everything nice and stable and staying right where I want it to. Thumbs up, I totally recommend this little tripod if you want to have a low to the ground tripod for some reason, nice, tight and stable. I attached a test photo doing a photo stack using this tripod, works like a charm. The photo is a 5:1 Macro shot of a bug about 1mm in length. It looked pretty cute and fuzzy before I took these shots. Its standing on a flower and those little bumps are the cells of the flower petal, pretty steady tripod eh?

Very good indeed but nothing is perfect.
This a very good little one. Solid construction, I love it. Now why only 4 stars? the tip of the legs have either a silicone or ruberized inserts. For most people that is no problem at all but I am the kind of person who loves to do Long exposures. We talking 30 seconds to hours long and those leg inserts are just begging to have wind shake the whole frame. For long exposures that is murder. otherwise I would recomend this one. One final thought. I dont think it will hold a full DSLR with a Big Lense. I would expect it but since the construction is full metal I am sure someone will try it. hmmm not me. I have heavey professional DSLRs and this will not do. Maybe if you hold a Pro lens on a sand bag while the tripod holds the camera body for those super low to the floor shots them maybe.

Great low-profile tripod
Small, lightweight and really good. I mounted my gimbal head on this and it’s sturdy enough to take the weight of the gimbal head and my camera with 600mm lens. Great product.

Small profile, big strength
Great, compact and very heavy duty tripod that folds small enough for travel use.

Great mini tripod.
I ended up changing the ball head that comes with it and using one with a larger plate from another travel tripod I had. I use it with a A7iv with a 28-75mm. It’s works well. You do have to tighten the legs a bit out of the box was hold well. It’s not stable enough to use in portrait mode, so I ended up getting a L bracket and it works fine after that.

Well Made - Adjustable
This is a nice little tabletop tripod. Solid Aluminum construction with a high build quality and smooth adjustments. Could only be made better if it had detentes for the legs to be locked in 3x positions with release tabs like you find in larger tripods. The legs are friction movable and only hard stop at the fully lowered position. The legs do not extend, which lends to greater stability. The bubble level only works in "vertical" mode, but most modern cameras take care of this anyway. I really like that the wings for adjusting the ball-head and Pan are spring loaded, so they can be adjusted to the users preference. Good Stuff from SmallRig. Two Thumbs Up.

NOT Disappointed!
The video sold me, and I am NOT disappointed. Very solid and easy to work with. I had been trying to use a taller tripod and just couldn't get the control of it that this gives me. Worth every penny!

Sturdy Tripod but Pricey
Tripod Quality is Excellent and Premium. Heavy and build to hold heavy setups. And it is stable. Price feels higher. But you’re gonna have more value thing on top so kept it safe. Worth it.

SMALLRIG with Big Asperations.
This is the perfect lil’ mount to use with a micro four thirds (M43) mirrorless camera. It is sufficient for the payload of body + medium sized lens. My primary use will be astrophotography where I can set this up on an outdoor patio table in the cold winter night and use a remote shutter control from the cozy confines of my abode.Very well made and reasonably priced.

awesome addition for content creation
I currently have a Sony Zve10 and have been filming some talking head videos. This trip was an amazing addition to sit on the desk easy to set up very stable and great quality. Although it doesn't come with it you have the ability to attach a phone mount. Great addition for filing content

Sturdy! Heavy!
Its metal, heavy compact, durable. Feels confident in hands that camera will not fall off!! It does not work properly with ARKA peak design capture clip base but its okay. It would be great if it gripped peak base properly as its own.

Compact, Sturdy, and Surprisingly Versatile!
Whether I’m shooting with my Sony mirrorless camera, my iPhone, or even a GoPro, this tripod handles it all like a champ. Build quality is outstanding—it feels rock-solid, and the updated design gives it a premium, rugged feel without the bulk. The 360° ball head is smooth and holds position well, even with heavier setups. The Arca-type quick release compatibility is a huge plus for fast swaps between tripod and handheld shooting. It’s also super portable—perfect for travel, tabletop use, or throwing into a small camera bag. If you're looking for a compact tripod that doesn't compromise on stability or build, this is an easy 5-star product. SmallRig nailed it with this one!
