This thing is a winner
Love this thing - perfect on my teardrop camper. I rarely use the poles and just have the other end staked in the ground - creates privacy this way and since Iโm only 5โ1โ it works perfectly for me set up this way. Iโve been in rain storms and had my electric bike completely sheltered by this awesome product. Use it every time now and itโs simple and quick to set up. Quality has held up / suction cups absolutely suck so plan to get better ones or use strong magnets.

Good product. Great after sale service!
Great awning for when you don't need a rack mount. Plenty of clearance for my truck topper hatch and looks to have plenty of clearance for van and suv hatches. Yields a good amount of room. Assembly was straightforward and the included directions were easy to understand. Took about 10 minutes to set up the first time. I can probably cut that in half next time. The only flaw was a broken clip. It didn't seem to affect the performance of the awning, but I didn't want to take any chances so I sent support an email. They returned my email in a timely manner (less than 2 days) and authorized repair parts to be sent. I received a full replacement a few days later that was perfect. Thanks Hasika!

It works for me at an affordable price.
Fast delivery, Use on teardrop camper rear galley hatch. Easy setup except one of the suction cups was defective. Used guide ropes to secure to camper. Seems secure in windy conditions so far and fits over the raised galley cover easily.

This was fantastic for dog trial event! Amazon restock, since others who saw ours wanted one too!
I go to a lot of dog scent work, agility and tracking dog trials. We are always camped out in the outside waiting our turns to enter a trial. In summer sun, heat or rain can be a real problem. This kept us, three people, our chairs etc. little table dry during a day of heavy pouring rain even with very gusty winds and kept up cool the next day when sun beat down on us and even with continuing strong wind it held firm. Great that the hatchback was open so kept our gear dry and dog could remain in car with air and shade too even though then car windows had to be shut. I have a small Honda Fit so lugging my big heavy EZ up and including it in the car with all my other gear difficult especially if I am alone just too heavy. This fit in may car easily. The first time setting this up the three of us figured it out mostly because I watch a Youtube video. The instructions you get are not great. I know we did not properly use the little string holder. Instructions not clear about that at all. Another reviewer pointed out suction devices were not good and recommended getting another brand instead. I did that... and got iRomic Heavy Duty Vacuum Suction Cups Hooks (4Pack).. glad I did they were better then the ones in the bag that fell of windows... (thanks to that reviewer for that tip). We only set our poles up to height of Three rather then 4 high due to landscape and it was plenty high for tall teenager to enter in and out and seemed a nice height. Wish I had taken a photo to include. It comes with two bags to fill with sand. I did not want to haul sand. I brought some small heavy workout dumbbells I could drop into the bags bit we did not need them and relied on strings to stakes in the ground. I also got a pack of assorted velcro straps in case. Figured if we need more pole weight I could velcro gallon water jugs by their handles to the poles. Dog people always have at least two water jugs along with extra water for dogs... more worth the space in car then sacks of messy sand. Hope this helps. Others at the trial took a picture of this so they could get one for trials too!

Worth every penny
This awning saved our recent week of offroad camping. It works really well as designed but we used it on the ground sideways (like a curved wall) to block the cold wind as we huddled around an LP firepit. Once staked down, it can handle an impressive amount of wind. I only wish we'd had another one to block the wind from 2 sides! It goes together in about 2 minutes and back down just as quick. It packs away nicely in a small bag. I replaced the cheapo guyline ropes with 550 cord and I haven't messed with the suction cups. I love the versatility. This trip wasn't the first time we used it but with a little creativity it really shined on a couple of cold, windy nights. Every other member of our group vowed to get one of their own before our next adventure.

Poorly designed piece of junk
I took this to a camping trip on the river this weekend and to say it's a piece of junk is an understatement. Assembling it was a joke. The poles on the non-car side do not stick in the ground, so if you have ANY amount of breeze at all, it will blow up and away. There's also no way to secure the canopy to the poles, which makes absolutely NO sense at all. Who designed this **** thing?? This thing acts like a sail once tethered to your car, so in order to keep it standing we had to jerry-rig the entire thing by cutting holes in the cover and in the pole caps and using other supplies we had to secure it to the ground. Also, the rain flap doesn't have any way to tie to the poles, so if you have it down instead up wrapped up (which, it doesn't stay wrapped up anyway), it just blows around knocking anything you have under the canopy to the ground. The tethers on the car side are not secure either. Every time we came back from the river, we would find that the breeze pulled the tethers loose and we kept having to re-tie it to the car. We didn't have weak knots either, in case that's what you're thinking. I wanted so badly to return it (even with all the modifications we made) but by the time the trip was over I was so angry with it I just threw it away. Worst thing I've ever purchased, hands down.

Great until the wind hit.
Easy to put up, shade was nice, we could angle it when needed. The first time was used it was the only time. Right after we put it up on our camper galley, a storm came through the valley and trashed it. It flew up, guy lines coming out of the ground and flapped about in the torrential wind and rain. It was no match for the microburst. It was ripped and not salvageable at all. We bought a different shade tent to replace it.

Lots of shade
Very impressed with the quality. Gives plenty of shade in the down and up position.

Great rain shelter
I was sold by the versatility of this shelter - itโs more or less a standalone setup unlike a standard tarp and it sheds water well because of this. It fits well over the back of the truck with the tailgate open as an extra. I like that you can put it up with the standup poles or no poles or shorter sections of the poles. Although i could see you would need to protect the ends of the shelter if you planned on leaving the one end on the ground. I quickly put it up for the first time in the pouring rain having never put it up before and it was quick and easy - although took me a sec to see the inside third tent pole attachment that goes in the middle of the shelter. In the photo i had not put out the guy lines yet but it stayed up anyway since there was no wind. I didn't bother with the suction cups and just hooked it over the roof rack and tied it to the truck wheels. The suction cups it comes with are rubbish and i took the pre-caution of ordering heavy duty strong ones as per the other recommendations - but didnโt in fact need them. The next time i put it up it was quite windy and it was a bit of a challenge to guy it out by myself to the long standup poles but in retrospect if i had suctioned it on to the windows it would have been much easier. Plus if i had filled the bags with sand and had those in place - but sand is not that easy to come by in most campsites. The pegs were pretty light weight - although they worked. I would suggest heavier ones as others have. By the way, as you can see in one of the photos, i paired this system with the roadie window tents also bought on amazon so that the windows in the truck could be open when sleeping in it without the rain or bugs coming on.

Great item
Great versatile item chosen because of seller's description and some good feedback from buyers.

Great camping accessory
I bought this for my son for Christmas. He is a 4x4 and camping enthusiast. He absolutely loved it. His mates were envious. It works really well attached to the back of his Toyota Prado SUV. Here are some pics from his first time use at a lake side in WA. It packs up really small, so it's really a space saver in the cargo area. The only thing he thinks he will do is change out the cords to something a bit stronger. He said the nylon material was strong. Great buy. Get it!

Great for car and teardrop camper
This awning is so easy to put together, sits well on the back of the car and my teardrop camper. Came with picture institutions, So easy to put together by myself and take down. The two tent poles it came with are ok but preferred to use my extension tent poles as they seemed sturdier. Stood up to the windy conditions just fine.
