Fit my 8 year old great. Loose enough where he could also wear clothes under so as to not be cold. The costume Survived trick or treating and 3 halloween parties. My younger son could wear it next year and it would look brand new. I would recommend this product. I am very happy with it. My son also loved it, he got many compliments.

Ordered this for Halloween costume for 5 1/2 year old boy who is big for his age. Was hoping to get a play costume instead of just something for trick-or-treating that he would never wear again. The size was correct. The first one I received seemed dusty and my son had it one for all of 5 minutes before the inseam in the pants just totally separated. I called Amazon because it was Friday the week before Halloween and I couldn't wait for the return. As has always been my experience, they were fantastic and shipped me a new one with Saturday delivery immediately. I returned the defective one and it all went smoothly. The second one was cleaner and I tugged on the inseam to test it. It held up just fine. He wore it trick-or-treating, to school and multiple times since to pretend to be a police man and it is still going strong. We lost one button, but that was mostly due to the belt we had put around the waist rubbing on the thread for the button.

Omg, my son loves this costume! I bought it for Halloween and here it is December 7th and he is still playing with it! Yes, I could reinforce the buttons but I haven't had to. My son is 4 1/2 and is obsessed with being a police officer that is the only reason I didn't pack it away with the Halloween stuff! He is still playing police and dressing up in this costume weekly! I am very happy with the quality of this costume and the joy it had brought my son!

This costume is very cheap quality. We bought this for a Community Helper dress up day at school.1. The first time my son tried it on was just to make sure it fit. I did not let him play in it, just try it on for size to be put away for the dress up day. I was still standing right next to him, he had not even moved yet, and three buttons fell off. I had to sew the buttons back on except the one that fell off the hat, which was just glued on, and it broke in two pieces so I had to throw that button away.2. The second time I let him try it on to show his friend, once again not yet allowed to play in it until dress up day. It was on just a few minutes, once again I had not even walked away yet and the fabric tore all the way down the pant leg. The tear was the entire length of the pant leg. I had to sew that just to salvage it enough for dress up day. He had not even played in it yet and it already had these major repairs.3. The third time he wore it was the dress up day. I was not there so I don't know how much running or jumping he did but shouldn't you be able to play in a dress up outfit made for a child? He came home with the entire sleeve falling off of the shirt. I am repairing it now because this is supposed to be a Halloween costume as well.I am beyond disappointed to the point of feeling scammed by this product. It is probably the worst product I have purchased in my life. It is horrible x3 for the three major repairs needed the first 3 times my son wore it. DO NOT BUY THIS COSTUME. Additionally, you probably shouldn't trust any of this company's product since this one is of such poor quality.

I bought the Police Office Costume for my son for Halloween. The costume was very durable. The badge that was on the costume did not look at all authentic, so I bought a separate badge and pinned it on over it. My other disappointment with the costume was the hat. I really had to work with it to make it somewhat resemble a police officer hat. It is soft, and not like a real hat. Plus the brim was made of vinyl and was bent during packaging. I DO NOT recommend the police belt that is sold separate from the costume. It is extremely cheaply made. The belt did not stay buckled so we had to tie a knot in it so he could keep it on. The packaging boasts a working flashlight which was a joke.

I think for the money - this should be made better. My 7 year old daughter wore a size small - she's very tiny for her age - and it fit great! But she was so excited to wear it, she wore it around the house and the pants completely tore all the way down the leg. I couldn't even repair it. So we ended up using a navy skirt to go with the outfit. She wasn't even doing flips or anything - just cheaply made. I used a hot glue gun to fix the hat because a gold button popped off right away, but that was an easy repair. Cheaply made, but I guess Halloween is only once a year.

I got this for my son who I think will end up being a cop some day. He loves it. It is a little big but it's great because he'll just grow right into it. There os even an even a spot where you can write his name in.

Our son is getting a little on the older side for trick or treating but it has taken years of treatments and therapies to help him speak and take part in things like Halloween so we're sending him out! He is now able to talk about what he wants to be when he grows up and wanted to dress that part for Halloween. This costume did not disappoint in any way.

All that was included was present. Like how it fits perfectly. It was well done. If some one you know wants to dress up as a police officer I recommend it from here.

My son put on this Halloween costume for a party we were attending. He put it on and moved directly to the car to go to the party, not moving or playing with it more than just getting into the car and getting buckled into his carseat. By the end of the 20 minute car ride, the pants were completely coming apart at the inseam and had a huge hole in the rear. I had to sew the pants together in the trunk of the car as my son, in tears, was afraid he couldn't go to the party without pants. The entire seams had come apart because the material is cheap and the sewing was terribly done. Look, I know it's a cheap costume, but I've never seen anything this poorly constructed. After sewing the pants back together, we went to the party. The pants were completely destroyed after he moved around in them (he had to borrow someone else's pants) and the jacket was missing all of the buttons from the front which had popped off as he was walking around. Had to rush order another costume for Halloween. Please don't waste your money and move on to another option. We bought the Melissa & Doug (one day same-day delivery) version which I should have done in the first place.

The costume looked fabulous and my son loved it as soon as he pulled pants on they shredded at the seam. We had to wear a different pair of navy pants. 2 buttons popped off the top the first day, I sewed them back on and by the end of Halloween night he only had those 2 left. It's just heartbreaking when you pick a costume with your son and it's so poorly made.

The costume was well built and a real hit! Take note that there's an American flag on the shoulder, which was not a problem for us. We also purchased the accessories and our son was delighted with the whole package!
