Great for spreading gesso and easy to clean. I use this primarily for spreading gesso, because I love the smooth, even surface I can achieve. It’s also much faster than using a traditional brush. I also use it upon occasion when I’m filling a larger space with acrylic.There’s very little paint waste, as there are no bristles to hole the paint, and it’s easy to wipe off between colors. Best yet, when I forget, and paint dries on the brush, it’s still easy to remove, because the brush is silicone.I have used it very successfully with a variety of gesso and acrylics.If you find my review useful, please click the like button. I have been exploring the addition of cold wax medium (CWM) to my oil paint. This tool offers a medium firm silicone blade to work the paint. It can be used to apply and also to scrape workable oil paint, CWM, to blend oil based R&F pigment sticks, for creating texture and mark making. Clean up is simple with baby wipes, vegetable oil, or, odorless minerals spirits...I prefer Gamblin brand.

These are interesting in that so far nothing sticks to the silicon including UV epoxy and acrylic paint mixes. Even when used to apply UMA primer, the material remains unaffected requiring only a wipe thru a folded paper towel to clean. The handle securely affixes the squeegee portion of the brush. You could call it an un-brush. It doesn't leave brush marks like traditional brushes, but the feel is different, so a little practice is required to acclimate your activity with you learned discipline using bristle types of brushes. These color shapers can smooth paint, make many types of textures, make thin or wide lines - so many options. And they are super easy to clean. I have all the sizes.

These shaper brushes are great for applying glue, mediums, wax, etc., you name it. Sometimes I hate having to use my regular brushes to apply acrylic mediums because then I have to wash them and make sure I get all of the product out of the brush or it ruins the brush. With these, I just wipe them off! I even use these shaper brushes to apply gesso! And to apply Venetian plaster and molding paste to stencils. Works great for that. Won't be able to live without them now! I have two sizes.

Perfect size for silicone glue.

This silicone brushes are wonderful, the material is great and the angles of the borders and finishing are perfect to paint, grasp oil or acrilics. I use it too much in abstract paintings. Unfortunately we don't have this quality of brushes in Argentina and usually when some of my friends travels, order it by amazon an ask them to bring it to me. Awesome brush!

I used this tool for the flowers and stems in this painting based on an Original design by Jed Dorsey at Acrylic University. It is well made and perfect for both mixing paint and applying it to canvas.

Great for painting with acrylics. I prefer painting with a silicone brush that with a bristle brush.

I'm certain the product is a useful tool in which it is intended and I've given the benefit of the doubt in awarding 3 stars that might seem rather harsh.Admittedly this was purchased through Amazon Warehouse and can be hit and miss, but generally found it pretty good in picking up a bargain or two.The item was delivered with a large chunk ...the size of a front tooth on the silicon end missing ..can people be that hungry in these trying times that they have to feast on silicone. I know we can't all squander 3.500 quid aka Liz Truss on five course dinners for the great and good but it beggars belief we've resorted to eating silicone brushes. I guess that's the price of "Taking back Control"
