Would your character change ... if you had all the money in the world? And all the time? Would you become a better person? Or worse? Imagine Agatha Christie meets Michael Crichton in a fast-paced whodunit mystery thriller. _______________________________________ There’s a secret in Silicon Valley. A discovery. An invention. One so startling and surprisingly sinister that it needs to be concealed—at any price. Tim Tigner takes a step back from his bestselling Kyle Achilles series to introduce Zachary Chase and Skylar Fawkes in a standalone novel that’s bound to keep you glued and guessing. With secluded meetings, sudden disappearances and strange murders; secret agents, skillful assassins and sexy locations; The Price of Time is packed with fast-paced action and first-class intellectual intrigue. Propelling the thrills and perched at the middle of the mystery is one of humanity’s great questions: Would finding the Fountain of Youth be a blessing? Prepare for sleep-deprived nights and skipped chores while repeating the phrase: "Just one more page." _______________________________________ "Tim Tigner is the antidote of Dull." —Steve Wilson "Clever to the point where you can't put the book down.” —Maryellen Crane "I defy anyone to anticipate his plot twists." —Henry Shop "Still trying to catch my breath. Review: Tigner, you have done it again. Ever wished you didn’t have to get old? Be careful . . . - I have to be honest. There are some authors whose books I pre-order upon availability, Nancy Herkness, Melinda Leigh, Kendra Elliot, and Tim Tigner are among them. With respect to other authors, I read what the book is about and read reviews from other readers. I then decide if I want to spend my money on the book? When I started reading “The Price of Time” I had not read anything to tell me what it is about, after all, I thought I knew. From now on, I will read what even those authors’ books are about so I am not surprised. I was 2/3 through the book before I pulled it up on desertcart and read the “blurb” about it. Until that point, I kept expecting Kyle Achilles to show up and save the day. Guess what, this book is not about Achilles. Imagine my shock. Now for my review of the book. What a novel (pun intended) concept for a book, a literal fountain of youth. I love a book that is about a new and unique idea. I was impressed that, while this book provides eight people with perpetual youth, it shows that immortality is not all it’s cracked up to be. I’m impressed, Tigner, that you showed that side of something for which people often wish. Is it at this point that I should say be careful what you wish for? And then, the immortals begin to die. While at age 60 they still look 30, they can still fall victim to disease, accident, and murder. However, they are the only eight people who know about the injections, who would kill them and why? Once they decide to go down the road of forever young, they realize that while everyone they know will age normally they will never look any older than they do at the present moment. So what to do? Their solution brings a former CIA agent, Zachary Chase, into the picture. Eventually, he is joined by Skylar Fawkes, a replacement for one of the “immortals.” This is definitely a stand-alone book but I would imagine that since Zachary’s and Skylar’s histories, individually and together are in this book it would be wise to read it before the next Chase and Fawkes book hits the shelves (or Kindles). Great, creative idea, two interesting protagonists, and a well written, intriguing, lose sleep type of novel. I highly recommend it. Review: ...a change of pace from my normal action thriller reads and it is so well done! Worthwhile read! - Book Review - I decided to give Author Tim Tigner a try upon the recommendation from another book reviewer and I am so glad that I did! I absolutely loved The Price of Time! Great action (surprisingly), intriguing dialogue and an original plot, all with some steamy romantic scenes woven in. Note - it is NOT a ‘chick lit’ book by any means! Although it was a change of pace from my normal action thriller reads. It is so well done, I just had to let it be known. It kept me guessing throughout. I love how Tigner developed the characters and he did a great job of balancing their personalities. The “good guys” had some relatable darkness woven in and the “bad guys” were also easy to understand. You could see where everyone was coming from and totally relate to the story. Great read and highly recommended. Check out Author Tim Tigner’s books, you won’t be disappointed!

What if...?
What If... I could give this book review more stars? I’d do it in a New York minute! Because that is the premise of this cautionary tale. This book is a change of pace for Tim Tigner. Instead of a hero trying to prevent random acts of terror or evil conspiracies, it’s a smart thriller that also explores issues of morality and ethics in a world of rapidly developing technologies. The main concept asks the questions: What if you could change your life forever? How far would you go the achieve immortality? The Price of Time revolves around a small group of corporate bigwigs who are keeping a major medical breakthrough to themselves. In a twist of fate, former CIA agent Zachary Chase inadvertently becomes a threat to the group’s secret while investigating the disappearance of his college roommate, Lars. Chase has no idea who is after him or why. All he knows is that the trouble started after Lars vanished. Using his CIA experience and contacts and the help of a woman he rescues while retracing Lars’ last known location, Chase closes in on the truth about Lars and his connection to the secret. Chase’s investigation alternates with the actions of the mysterious group to reach their objectives while keeping Chase at bay. What makes this thriller different is that the group is not inherently evil or a danger to society as a whole, but the steps they take to protect their secret are somewhat extreme. The action is full of surprising twists (especially the stunning finale). Again, Tim Tigner gives the reader an amazing thriller that will have you thinking about it days later. He is a true literary master who never disappoints his readers

What does Aging cost us?
I am ambiguous about this book: On the one hand, it can be read as an action-packed thriller, full of murder, deceit, lies, the requisite romance. But after reading it, one can reflect upon the moral message which inspired the story: To what end will people go to preserve their youth and beauty? The story revolves around a group of friends, one of whom discovers the so-called magic elixir of life. He and his small group of friends decide to partake of this elixir, but not to share it with the world. Problems arise, and a “bad guy” is hired to handle the problems. Of course a “good guy (and girl)” come along to deal with the carnage caused by the bad guy. The group of people who elect to live forever call themselves the “Immortalists”; they can be compared to the gods and goddesses of mythology who lived on Mount Olympus, whose powers could destroy the lives of each other and of the mere mortals on earth. So, what point is the author trying to make? That vanity is the root of all evil? That we should not concentrate so much on all the elixirs that are supposed to keep us youthful, because, in the end, are we happy? Do the “good guy” and “good girl” maintain their moral compass? Lots of philosophical questions to consider. (And, btw, one of the characters in the book is named for a well-known, historical philosopher).

A truly profound novel and deserving of it's best seller status!
This book is thrilling! While a brilliant thriller, this book will dwell in the recesses of your mind far into the future! I make no pretense of summarizing this mindblowing literary accomplishment! This plotline challenged me on multiple levels of interest. Cognitively and ethically , this manuscript was both confounding and compelling! Thie first third of this work seemed to be plodding, but I realized that was because the subject matter was fascinating to me biologically, morally, intellectually and emotionally! I was fully invested and ruminated on the complex storyline! Once I internalized the premise and embraced the magnitude of the events I was ardently addicted to the story! The rest of the narrative raced through me and I couldn't stop reading! What a magnificent allegory! Genetic manipulation has bio-ethical consequences! Cloning, immortality, A.I., genetic mutation et al have disturbing and potentially monstrous repercussions! This brilliant book has twists and turns that keep the reader guessing until the final pages! I was breathless as I was maneuvered expertly chapter by chapter! Stay with this novel even if you think it slow, because the rest is amazing! Truly a great book and worthy of 10 stars! Accept the hype and indulge your senses, the ride is the stuff of greatness!

Surprising gems
I first hear of the book "The Price of Time"" was last spring in the daily deal and what I read about sure sound like a book I might be interest in. With having several already download I was reading at the time now this summer I start reading this one and soon got was surprising how spellbound with the story and as several other review mention being a page turner also, that I need to keep reading to find what going to happen next. It was a mystery with so many twist and turn and keep you guessing of the real reason of what happening with the death of each one is it murder or what. Like Agatha Christie's 10 little Indians (aka And than there none). Waiting to the last part of the book with finally started to find the answer with the final three and with Chase & Skylar team up to solved what was going on. They was so idea together and great ending. Thanks, Tim Tigner for thanking a chance with this standalone novel in hope to find reader like myself and many other who might enjoy it. With this Kindle I was given I was able find several new authors to taken a chance with with great reading and you a are one of those authors.

Marred by Plot Improbabilities.
This is an exciting fast-paced book advertised as a science fiction thriller but really is a bit weak on the science. It starts out with the premise of an Earth-shattering discovery and then goes on to plot one possible future due to that discovery. There's no more science but rather social consequences along that line. Added in early and sneakily is the thriller part where a spy vs spy subplot slowly emerges to finally dominate the action while the first plot thread mutates into a classic mystery. The mystery resolves satisfactorily while the thriller plot does too winding up better than most treatments along these lines. My skepticism and plot impossibilities avoid awarding a five-star rating. I'm content accepting the initially posited scientific breakthrough but the reactions assigned the supposedly well-connected and highly intelligent initial players have so many obvious errors as to make that thread an eye-roller. Still, an exciting read assisted by a most rewarding final act.

Exceptional
If you appreciate a special and unique idea that arouses fear and wonder, sets up puzzles that need solutions and surround that situation with particular people that you really feel that you learn to know then this is the book for you. It certainly captured me and turned me into a strong follower of Tim Tigner.

Brilliant, I loved it.
Brilliant, I loved it. I’ve really enjoyed every book I’ve read by Tim Tigner, and this book is no exception. He certainly knows how to write exciting and action-packed Thrillers. The plot is elaborate and suspenseful, with plenty of twist and turns to keep you guessing. It’s very easy to get lost between the pages of this amazing novel. Zachary Chase is a great character, and it’s always one of the standouts in reading one Tim’s stories with the background and work he puts into each character. A great read from the first page to the very last. 5/5 Star Rating.

Great book! A pleasure to read.
I really enjoyed the book! I was looking for a new book that would make it possible to dive into a different word for a while. Preferably I would have read the whole book in one piece! It was compelling and I was throughout the whole book curious to see how the story continues. I can really recommend it. I also really enjoyed the writing style.
