Made it through all four kids!
I have had one of these for 8 years or so, it's gone through all four of my toddlers. I'd call it well built! We lost one "hub cap" and had to replace it in that time, every other part has been solid and has held up, rust free! I saw other reviews saying it was poorly designed with the narrow back end. I'd like to address this, I think I have some experience to offer... It's true that this profile is not great for a child who straddles the bike then walks with it between their legs. However, that isn't what it is made for, it's a scoot about, not a walker! Once the child learns to sit on the seat and push with their legs, the narrow, rear profile is ideal. It keeps them from running over their own feet. The adjustable seat means it can grow with your child, and makes it suitable for children who are bigger or smaller than average. It's stable enough with the wide front that we've never had it tip. We recently moved to a new home with a long, hilly driveway, and so far, so good! No tipping, even on the hill. As my two year old gains more confidence in the hill, he might pick up his feet on the way down, so I'll update if the stability note changes when zooming downhill! I give it 5 stars, any scooter that can make it through four kids with no mishaps deserves it, in my book!

Perfect!
Perfect size for my 1.5 year old daughter. It’s definitely worth the price & assembly was super quick and easy!

LOVE IT. We had some problems with it at first
This scoot about trike as awesome IF you get a good one. We bought one for our son for christmas and the steering was so hard, esentially impossible to turn. Our poor son had to stop everytime he needed to make a turn, lift the front up and then go. He also kept hitting the back wheels with his feet. What a sad sight that was. We thought it was just a bad toy, then decided to call Radio Flyer. After some persvasion that we are not crazy that it really is impossible to turn easily, they sent us a box and a return label, then a new trike that is great. Our son scoots about so fast now, suddenly doesn't hit the back wheels with his heels anymore and overall, he just LOVES it. We love the adjustable seat feature also. Our son is small, only 31.5 inches and he does just fine on this trike with the seat down. Radio Flyer should do something about their quality control though. First we got a defective one, the next one came with no instructions. We had instructions from the first one, so no big deal, but come on. What a wonderful company, I don't excuse that they let stuff like this out. I am disappointed in the company, but love their products and will be buying more despite :).

My son loves it!
We bought this for our nearly-two year old so that he had something comparable but safe to go with the scooters that we bought for our older two for Christmas. Assembly was super easy and he loves riding around on it. I don't think he'll be able to use it past this season because it is so low to the ground, but he likes it well enough that I still think we'll get a lot of use out of it. We love the cute little bell and streamers and we love that he doesn't fall too far when he really gets going and then tumbles off. Overall, we'd definitely buy it again and we're satisfied with the quality we would expect from Radio Flyer.

cute little trike at a great price
My grandson loves this little trike, especially the little bell, which seems to be his favorite part. It appears to be very well constructed and was relatively easy to assemble, taking about 15 minutes. It also has an adjustable seat, so he'll get a few years of enjoyment out of it. During assembly, I would recommend having a second person to help hold it steady while attaching the different pieces.

Great Quality.... But Smaller than I Expected
Our daughter had been watching jealously as other kids in our neighborhood moved about on tricycles, big wheels, and bikes. We first tried a very cheap tricycle but the balance was terrible and our daughter was frustrated by the pedals. So the Scoot-About seemed like the perfect transition "vehicle" for our 20 month old before she moves on to a tricycle and/or a balance bike. The quality on this is outstanding. It is solid, well built, and well balanced. I don't have any worries about my daughter tipping over and she was quick to take to it and is now able to work up a decent head of steam as she scoots around the house or outside. Her enjoyment of it was limited by the lack of a basket at first because she couldn't ride it and carry her water, blanket, and/or stuffed animals. But some string, duct tape, and a cardboard box combined to make a serviceable basket and now she won't get off it. What keeps it from being four stars is the size of it. My daughter is a big girl, at the very top of the growth charts in height and weight. So she's not a typical 20 month old but even so I'm surprised by how small this thing is for her. It's just too small and I expect she'll fully outgrow it well before she hits two years old. I understand that Radio Flyer can't account for the many sizes of children and we never expected that this would last her to three years old because of how big she is. But we certainly hoped that it would get her to 2 1/2 and that's clearly not the case. Even with the seat at it's highest her knees are quite bent and she struggles to push off. Some of the time she actually doesn't sit on the seat but straddles the Scoot-About and walks it while holding the handlebars. Also, she constantly gets her heels caught up in the back wheels. She can only take the tiniest of little steps/pushes if she is to avoid hitting her heels. So if you have a kid who is on the bigger side be aware that he/she might outgrow it well before they hit three years of age.

Three year old loves it.
My son has been riding this since he was about two and a half. No exaggeration, he must have put about 50 miles on it so far, with his longest ride being 5 miles at one time. When he first started it took him a few days to start placing his feet wide enough that they weren't run over by the back wheels, but he eventually figured it out and now I have to jog to keep up with him when he's "Going fast, daddy!". Through all of his use it has held up well. I did bump it with the car in the garage once so one wheel is a little wobbly, but that was my fault, not faulty manufacturing. He does tip it over at times, taking a corner too sharp and too fast, but for the most part it is a very stable ride for him. The seat could definitely go higher, and is the one drawback of the bike. He's almost 36" tall now, and it's simply too low for him to really ride as comfortably as he could. Of course if it was higher he would be more likely to tip it over, so it's probably time to move on to a different bike. We just don't know how we'll ever be able to phase this one out! This has held his interest longer than any other riding toy by far and he rides it on long walks every single day. We even bought a second one to keep at grandma's house. One word of caution as well, he chews through his shoes when riding these! Brand new shoes will have holes in the toes after only a few weeks because he drags his feet to stop as well as push off. Softer rubber wheels may also be nice, as on rougher pavement it has the very loud rattle of a bike or stroller with hard wheels and is probably pretty bumpy for him to ride on. With softer wheels he probably would have worn them down to the white plastic wheels by now though. This is one of the best investments we've ever made for an active toddler!

Great & versatile first ride on toy.
We bought this for our 8-month-old son. He was highly motivated to walk, and our backs were killing us from holding his hands & bending over slightly to walk with him all day. We needed a break. Even though we took off the seat, the frame was still a little too high for him at 8 months to push himself around on his own. We had to help him, and our backs continued to suffer. In the meantime, we bought a walker for him to eliminate the standover issue - Fisher Price Zebra - https://www.amazon.com/Fisher-Price-Learn-Me-Zebra-Walker/dp/B014KEED72/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488032171&sr=8-1&keywords=fisher+price+zebra+walker Now that our son is 9 months, he is tall enough to push himself around on the Radio Flyer without any help, and he LOVES it. He rides it every day, sometimes for a half hour at a time. He just needs help turning around when he runs into the walls at each end of the room. This is a well-built toy that he will be able to use for years to come. Here's a video of our son riding the first day he figured out how to push and balance on his own at 9 months.

Fab tricycle
Fantastic tricycle for my 2 year old. The narrow rear wheels make it easier for her to climb on. Also it’s easy for her to push and steer on her own. It looks slick too, and very sturdy.

Wow great service
It's still hidden in the box as it's a Christmas present . But it arrived earlier than expected & the box is in good order . A no problem purchase & excellent service. I'm sure the child will love it . Will upside with the larger trike from these sellers when needed .
