Review: Awesome paper for laser printing, but desertcart packaging means it arrives damaged most of the time. - This paper is is the best laser printer paper I've found and the price is very good. A nice white, not too thin and not too thick, I've never had it jam. Unfortunately The way desertcart ships it, there's at 60% chance you'll need to return it for a replacement. I've always received this in flimsiest paper envelope with enough space inside that the packing has usually come apart and you have 500 sheets of loose paper just shaking around and getting damaged. If you are lucky only a handful of pages will be ruined and like me you'll just ignore it and move on, but that's if you are lucky.... If desertcart shipped everything this poorly they would go out of business. So 5 stars for the paper. Zero stars for desertcart's shipping and delivery.

**Q: Has anyone tried watercolor on this paper? Does it hold up as well to it as Tomoe River?**
A: I bought this paper mainly because it handles fountain ink extremely well and is still fairly light weight without costing as much as Tomoe River. I still prefer the smoothness of TR but this paper is my second choice.
When I saw this question I pulled out a sheet and tried watercolor.  I was amazed at how well it can handle it. Colors blend well and I used a lot of watercolor to see if the paper could take it and it did. I got absolutely no bled through to the other side which I sometimes get in Tomoe River paper. The crinkles don’t feel the same as Tomoe River but I’m sure the weight of this paper is part of the reason for that.

**Q: Reviews say it's not as good as tomoe river. but will it still give nice sheen and shading? i'd like affordable fp paper that still highlights shading**
A: It's much heavier than Tomoe River, and not as smooth. The sheening is great (OS Walden Pond). It's absorbent enough that the shading is only adequate (Diamine Autumn Oak). Because it's heavier than Tomoe River there is much less ghosting (almost none) and no bleed-through at all. Come over to the Goulet Nation Facebook Group, ask the same questions and I can show you photos. The only thing I would recommend more is if you can find a reasonably priced 32 lb (120 gsm) laser printer paper.

**Q: Some say this is is very smooth paper and some say it's rough. Which is correct?**
A: I wouldn’t call it rough by any means. I wouldn’t call it especially smooth, but I’d say it is as smooth as conventional copy paper (albeit higher quality).

This paper is is the best laser printer paper I've found and the price is very good. A nice white, not too thin and not too thick, I've never had it jam. Unfortunately The way Amazon ships it, there's at 60% chance you'll need to return it for a replacement. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Watercolor works great on this paper

I LOVE this paper! I started using this paper to make my own A5 planner since my perfect-for-me planner didn’t exist. Paper prints easily off my cheap printer for my planner sheets and doesn’t clog the machine. I love how highlighters look vibrant and true to color on this paper too. The paper is slightly thicker than 52 gsm tomoe river paper but thinner than regular printer paper. If you love watercolor as much as I do, this paper works well, blends colors easily, layering is great, and can handle wetter paint (whereas the 52 gsm tomoe river paper dries too quickly and can’t do super wet water washes). There is no bleed thru of the watercolor paints. You will still see and feel some crinkling but not as bad as the tomoe river paper. I’ll add some blank pages in the back of my planner just for watercolor sketches. I think this paper is worth it!
