Excellent tool for off setting the teeth on a saw, was a bit sceptical to begin with but it worked well. Saw no longer getting jammed when cutting.

As other reviewers have mentioned, no real issues in principle but the anvil is rather large (wide) for the teeth of a typical tennon saw. I could not find one for such fine teeth so I expected to have to grind them down. No problem if you have a grinder or you could use an oilstone (prepare for aching fingers).

Another example of a trusted name of the past being 'gobbled up' by a company (SNH Globle Holdings LTD) which is based in PRC which seem to have no passion about quality at all going by this Saw Set. Probems: there is a magnifier looking down into the 'Setting Pliers' it is made very cheap plastic, with very poor image quality, it is glued to the 'Set'. I could not see properly through it - so I pulled it off and binned it as 'useless annoying junk'. Now I could see down into the 'Set' the first thing I noticed was just how - out of alignment the pressure pin was, it should be perpendicular with the axis of the saw teeth but was leaning over at 20 degrees from its correct position, this was all due to all the normal stuff - poor design and manufacture. Sorry I can't be bothered to go into detail but basically I took the thing apart, ground bits off here and there to get the thing to work, as it should. I should have sent it straight back but as I had pulled off the magnifier, I just couldn't be bothered. I have set the teeth on several band saw blades so is wasn't a waste of money for me this time. But please be aware that this does not seem to be a quality tool, maybe I was expecting too much for £25 ish

This saw set works amazing. I used it on an old saw from a flea market that needed a lot of attention. This is the second saw set I have ever used, but it was easy. The tool does all of the work for you. Just line it up and squeeze. The only issue I had was that the plastic above the action needs the light right above it or the shadow makes it difficult to see the teeth. Once you figure out how to line it up, it does the job no issues at all.

Die Zange dient dazu, Sägezähne zu schränken. Geliefert wird sie im Blister mit einer kurzen, aber verständlichen Anleitung. Der Amboss ist durch drehen einstellbar und wird mittels einer Schraube arretiert. Ein Stift mit ca. 45 Grad Anschliffwinkel drückt den Zahn gegen den Amboss. Am Amboss befindet sich eine Skalierung von 4-12, was für TPI also Zähne pro Zoll steht. Diese Einteilung muss aber hinterfragt werden, da sie die Stärke des Sägeblattes nicht berücksichtigt. An der Zange befindet sich noch eine kleine Lupe. Ich empfand sie jedoch bei weniger guten Lichtverhältnissen als störend. Das Gerät erfüllt seine Funktion ordentlich. Durch die Bauart des Stiftes bedingt, muss die Kraft sehr vorsichtig dosiert sein, sonst können feinere Sägezähne zerdrückt werden. Deshalb, und wegen der offenbar etwas günstigen Verarbeitung, gibt es einen Stern Abzug. Sonst gibt es an der Zange nichts auszusetzen. Preis und Leistung stimmen.
