Frontier Matte Black GT Fountain Pen - Fine Nib

Good basic matte black pen. Gold trim is nice and shiny, but doesn't make the pen look gaudy. Converter already installed. No cartridge; you should be using bottled ink anyway. No cleaning required out of box (makes it giftable), inked up the pen and it wrote right away. Cap snaps on with a definite tactile click so you know it's closed. Posts well, grip is plastic or resin and I don't find it slippery. My pen is a fine point and writes as a western fine. Not a wet writer with Parker Quink blue ink. Smooth with very little feedback; nib needed no tuning out of box. Overall a very nice giftable pen, everyday writer, or addition to a pen collection. Will update in a few months on nib dry out time.

Great pen, I had trouble getting the ink to run down to be able to write but works and writes real smooth.

I got my pen today and have written about four pages with it and can't say that I am satisfied with it. I have other fountain pens but they are thinner and aren't comfortable to hold. I do have to admit that the GT Fountain Pen is more comfortable but I am having trouble with it not putting ink on the paper with every stroke. I find myself having to go back and fill in letters that didn't get any ink. In addition to this, the line is so wide that I had to double check that I was using a fine point nib instead of a medium point. I am using take-sumi ink that is made by Pilot and am writing on Navigator Platinum 32lb paper. I have mostly used fountain pens for the past forty years and started with worn out Scheaffer pens that were likely older than I was. The only times I have ever had this problem were when I was using a pen with a worn out nib pen or a cheap, disposable pen that didn't start that way straight out of the package. I know this pen isn't in the expensive or fine category but I have had Parker pens before and expected more from it. One more thing.. I can't help but wonder if the expected quality is different for the expected users. The box is marked "For sale only in India/Nepal."

The package was already open when I opened it. The fountain pen had no packaging at all, and the box was cracked.

Email and texting have their place but a hand written note or letter is much more personal. The Parker Frontier Fountain Pen will get that done for you. This pen is a superb value. It performs as well as other pens that cost 4 times as much. It has a great feel in your hand and it flows across the paper bringing out your finest penmanship. The fine nib seems to be more on the medium side but it will adequately bring out your unique hand writing style. My fellow Americans, put down your phone ! Step away from your computers ! Ditch Microsoft Word and Apple Pages ! Come back to pen and paper to express your deepest thoughts to those that matter most to you !

Caneta maravilhosa. Essa linha da Parker possui um excelente custo benefício. O revestimento da caneta é preto fosco, e por isso é menos resistente que a que possui o revestimento em preto brilhante. Mesmo assim, é um produto excelente, com uma linda pena dourada e uma escrita muito confortável.

Nib is a bit scratchy, but a very nice pen, especially for the price.

The colour on the outside is good, but please note the inside handle is glossy and doesn't match. I haven't noticed noticed any major discomfort using the pen, and jt looks premium too . It writes well, but I don't like the design on the nib as much as other brands. Handles ink very well, and the given ink filler is also very smooth to use. The material is plastic, which might put you off, but honestly for everyday work the low weight is a good thing. Great gift, even better tool, has survived being dropped multiple times on the nib
