Women's UV Sun Protect Summer Beach Wide Large Big Brim Hat Visor Side Flower

This hat provides excellent protection from the sun all around. I wanted a hat that allows me to recline in a beach chair without looking like I'm ready to march off with the French Foreign Legion and this fits the bill. The cape back is feminine and provides good coverage. The back overlaps the back neckline of my shirts enough to provide good coverage and not get tangled.I have a 22.5" head and typically buy large or extra large size hats. This one sits on my ears a bit. The ties in the back do allow for some adjustment of the fit, but tightening it very much would distort the shape. The vents on the sides of the crown are a double thickness of fabric and do little to allow for air flow, but would probably provide better UV protection if you have very thin hair. As other reviewers stated, the elastic loops for the removable chin strap are very loose and the strap does not stay on. A few stitches would be a permanent fix. I pulled the strap through the loop and hooked it on itself and it works.

This large brim hat is made of a nylon or polyester fiber with side mesh vents. I washed it by hand immediately out of the package. I don't think it would hold up in the washing machine since I can't tell if the brim is plastic or cardboard sewed in the fabric.Perfect for bike gardening or hiking, watching the grandkids at the park. It won't keep you warm for winter hiking or bike riding.The rim is so large it might be good in the rain.The khaki is very neutral.The black is a little washed.I ordered two different styles, wore one to a family yard party and now have added another fan to these hilarious hats. They are stylish but the brims are so large they look a little goofy but don't let that deter you. The enlarged base ball cap has a detachable flower; the fabric of the flower is better than the fabric of the hat.Just remember to wash by hand, they dry quickly.These hats are better then walking around with an umbrella, try different colors

I bought the gray hat with the round brim and the tie at the back. The tie can also be slipped through the holes to tie around your neck. It is nice and doesn't look cheap or silly and it protects my face and neck from the sun. Also this hat is lightweight and breathable.As for size- My head circumference is about 24 inches and it fits slightly snug (perfect fit). If your head is larger it will not fit.

Lightweight and yet stays in place. Also quite breathable - not too sweaty. The only hat I have ever been able to use while running (in the hot California sun). 1 point deduction because the under-chin strap does not stay attached - it requires a couple of stitches on each side to keep it in place. (I use the crown-ribbon as an under-chin tie while active).

It's floppier than you would imagine which is a good thing. I find it perfect as it conforms to your head in ways a a straw hat would not. The back comes down lower, protecting the tops of your shoulders and neck. I purchased the blue and love the color. Would definitely buy again.

The brim is not stiff all the way around the hat. The material on the back of the hat just hangs on your neck and is very irritating. The fabric is useful for the pool, as it dries quickly, but I was disappointed in the product as a sun hat for walking/gardening (which is what I needed most). The hat also fit somewhat small.

Works great at keeping the sun off my face. Had this hat for over a year now and have had no issues. I have a small head so i find this hat a bit lose. Love that i can crumple it up in a bag and take it with me.===update===This is my fourth summer with this hat and I still love it. Machine washable and long lasting. Plus I always get compliments while wearing it.

Great hat, I like the style, coverage, color, but it is too small. I have a bigger than average head, but I was optimistic this would work. I tried it anyway, but it blew off when I was outside because it was basically sitting on top of my head. I gave it to a friend and it did not seem to fit her well either.
