Love it, especially good if new to a back tension release
I have shot recurve for decades; just started also shooting compound ~5-6 months ago, starting with a thumb release on the recommendation of the guys in the archery shop where I shoot. After a while I wanted to try a back tension release; decided on this one because I heard/read others praise it, and because it has a safety on it, which a lot don't. Since it was really new to me I wanted to start out with a model with a safety. It took me a while to start making friends with this, because of me learning, not due to problems with this release. I am still working on becoming better acquainted with it, but have become much more comfortable. I love it!! The safety is easy for me to use, tho now I'm familiar enough with shooting one of these I could probably do fine without the safety. The tension is adjustable--how easily it will go off. It's comfortable in my hand. I am glad I chose this model to start out with because of the safety. Others tell of their release without a safety going off unexpectedly while they were learning, and punching themselves in the mouth, having arrows go a little wild when going off early, etc. This helps avoid the unexpected and potentially dangerous early releases while a person is learning how to use one of these. Can't think of a negative thing about it!

A good release for learning back tension with a compound bow
I've been shooting Olympic Recurve for a while and decided to also try compound archery. I wanted to keep improving my back tension but was scared of a back tension release, particularly learning in my backyard. Putting a misfired arrow in a neighbor's house is not an option. This release with the safety is the answer, I have never had it misfire when the safety is "on". For advanced archer's, use of the safety would be optional.
