Q: In looking at the pics Cant you just unscrew the 4 mounting screws and access whatever’s locked?

The screws are under the cover so you can't access without the door open. However it is just screwing to the console which is plastic so if someone really wanted in they could. More of a deterrent to keep people honest I guess. Not much different than locking your plastic glove box IMO.

Q: will this fit the jeep patriot? or do you have anything that will? i need something that can lock or a lock box I can put inside my 2016

Idk if it will fit in a patriot. I could only use 2 screws the other 2 didn’t fit correctly. It can be easily broken into. Not worth the money.
