Good color pencil
This is just what my neice needed for college project

NOT Conte "MEDICIS" Sanguine!
Product received NOT as described. Received Qty of one (1) Conte 610 Sanguine sketching crayon (pencil), NOT Conte "MEDICIS" (618). While pencil arrived in excellent condition: point intact, etc.., and both appears and performs as a fresh pencil (not old stock), this is NOT the shade of Sanguine I ordered. For those unfamiliar with the Conte line of Sanguine shades (top to bottom in screenshot): • 610 is the lightest, classic terra cotta shade • 611 "XVIII" (18th Century) slightly darker, more reddish • "Watteau" darker yet, more brownish • 618 "Medicis" is darkest of the Sanguine shades (Please pardon poor-quality of screenshot. Actual vid by Conte a Paris, may be viewed on YouTube by searching: "Conte a Paris Sanguine comparisons" Since I use a lot of Conte Sanguine pencils in my artwork, I will retain merchandise... it certainly will not go to waste. These French "Conte" pencils are famous worldwide. Used by professional and student artist.

Good pencil
Works like a charcoal pencil. Is pigmented. Works well. This is like a slightly thicker version of a color pencil.

I wish these pencils held up
I love these pencils, but they are near impossible to sharpen. The diameter of the pencil is larger, making I incompatible with most standard electric sharpener, sharpening by hand is frustrating, resulting in whittling away the whole pencil in a broken mess. They came individually wrapped, I suppose to protect them, though many were broken. Pigment is excellent but I end up wasting it all.

Pencil is great I rebought it makes drawing smooth

It seemed that it was broken in pieces on the inside.
Every time I tried to sharpen it it would break. But the texter is hard enough to be stable.

Lead broken
Arrived with lead broken as photo. The lead then broke after each sharpen. These are great pencils but no use if the lead is broken!

Love these!
If you like Conte' pastel pencils then you will love these. They are a large pencil and lay down a good solid layer of pastel. The only negative is that like all conte pastel pencils they are a bit dry, but they have excellent pigmentation and are a pleasure to draw with.
