My Favorite Shampoo This is my favorite shampoo! I have medium-to-thick hair, and this has been amazing for me. I’ve been using it for about a year and have noticed hair growth since I started using it. I love the smell, the ingredients, and how it doesn’t cause buildup on my scalp. I absolutely love this shampoo and will continue using it!

This is the only shampoo I have ever found for my baby fine oily hair that works well. This shampoo doesn't tangle my hair and gives it a fairly good volume. It is hard to find something "great" with my hair type, but in my 50 years on earth, this is the best I have ever used. It beats the expensive shampoos I have tried over the years and smells great! It's a clean aroma. I originally found this shampoo at Whole Foods in a big pump bottle for $17.00. I will probably return to WH to buy the bigger more economical size.

Great shampoo. The lavender is real and the fragrance is lovely. I have waist length hair, and just a dime size dab completely lathers the whole. It feels really luxurious. Rinses out easily, leaves your hair squeaky clean and soft at the same time. I don't even need condtioner with this shampoo.

I have been on a many year quest to find orginic, biodegradable, effective shampoo that does not dry out my scalp. I have used a different shampoo each time over many years and continue to try new sample brands. I have found only two shampoos as my main go to.... Aveno and Avalon Organics. Both are effective shampoos with decent scents for a man. Leaves my hair soft, clean, smelling great. I also have fine hair so strengthening and thickness boosts are nice, but in all honesty over all brands I have ever used those features are barely noticable to non-existent. The price for Avalon is a good value, as is Aveno. Both dry my scalp the least of any I have ever tried, but Aveno is slightly better. So, great product, will continue to buy it.

I've used so many products across the board because I am so picky with my hair. I've used everything from cheap to expensive because I want something that smells good, keeps my hair sleek and shiny, no frizz and doesn't grease up my hair. In my searches I've either experienced dry hair, harsh chemicals or (mostly big name brands) I end up losing a scary amount of hair with each use. I found this stuff from the EWG "clean" products list (no chemicals or anything harmful) and I was skeptical because typically you think the natural stuff just doesn't work but I gave it a try anyways and OMG I LOVE this stuff! I pair it with the matching conditioner. Since using (and I'm only about 1/3 of the way through my first bottle). I've noticed: 1. My hair is so much softer 2. It feels cleaner 3. It stays cleaner longer 4. I am actually growing new hair follicles and hair 5. I have almost no hair loss in the shower minus maybe one or two strands per use 6. My hair is shinier and feels stronger. There's a lot of reviews about how it dries their hair out, but I am not seeing it. I pair it with a leave in conditioner/heat protectant though as I am hard on my hair (blow dry and straighten several times a week). There's also a lot of reviews about how the conditioner seems thin. Yes it is thinner than you're probably used to, but that is because it doesn't have all the harsh chemicals and actually, it can be argued that it's better for it as it is easier to work through your strands and allow it to soak in better. Seriously. Try it. If you don't like it switch back bur I won't be going anywhere!

I’ve purchased Avalon Organics Revitalizing Lavendar Shampoo in the past and have always been happy with the product. This review is for the vendor’s packaging. I just want to say “Thank You” for the careful packaging. My shampoo came in its own box, and the pump head was additionally secured in place with cardboard that wrapped around it preventing it from moving or accidentally opening. I appreciate not receiving an open bottle and not having to clean up a goopy mess.

I have really thick long hair and it’s been really hard to find a good clean organic shampoo and conditioner that not only makes my hair extremely soft, easy to come through and shiny but also lathers extremely well especially using very little UNTIL NOW! I can actually effortlessly brush through my hair like butter when it’s still wet without it being a rats nest and i can’t believe how super soft and silky it feels when dry! My only complaint is I just wished it came in a larger more economical bottle!

I used this shampoo for years, and loved it. I discovered it at Trader Joe's, and I kept buying it after they stopped carrying it. Unfortunately, some years ago the formulation of it changed. Over the years they have changed the formulation a few times to make it more sustainable, but this most recent time, around 4-5 years ago, it was made thinner and more jelly-like in texture. I hated it. I needed to use much more of it to wash my hair, so I felt like I was getting less value for my money. At the same time, the price of it has been increasing over the years. It used to be $6 and now it is often over $10 in stores and only slightly cheaper on Amazon. Well, I called the company to complain about the new texture, and I was floored when the rep I was talking to told me that the company had not changed the formulation. I thought, maybe I had gotten a bad batch? They gave me a coupon to get one for free, so I got it, and tried it again, and it was the same, the thin, jelly-like texture unlike the old texture which was more like normal shampoo. I called in again and the person on the phone was not helpful. Again they said that the product had not been reformulated, which I think is a lie because I have used this for years and I'm not going crazy, it was a completely different texture from all those years I used it. I am not willing to support a company that lies to its customers and especially not when they're doing something shady, like making the product thinner so you need to use more of it and go through it faster, thus buying it more often, while they are simultaneously raising the price. That is shady as all get out. So yeah, not only have I switched brands, I am now highly wary of anything owned by the Hain Celestial Group. I don't trust this company, and from researching it online, this shampoo is NOT the only story I have found of them doing things that are shady and unethical, putting their own profit above the well-being of their customers and the value of their products. So yeah, this company alienated a once loyal customer by taking a great shampoo, reformulating it, and lying about it. Shame on them. And please do not buy any products sold by that group. They cannot be trusted.
