I'm still using them, and they haven't broken yet.

Time to replace your bottlenecks!
I'm very impressed with these cables. The packaging is basic but nice. They appear to be well made and if you are storing them in a bag or backpack the flat version is less bulky overall than a round cable. The connectors look nice and have worked fine for me. I purchased a few sets of these cables and so far I'm very happy with what I see as bottleneck removers. Why should you buy these CAT7 cables? If you're looking at this product and review you are likely suffering from a bandwidth issue or you just need a new cable as you've never had one before. If you are just using the Ethernet cable that came with your router or other device it is likely CAT5 or CAT5e. While these may look like the same cable fundamentally, modern connected devices and homes will push them to the limit and they will limit your throughput across your network. If you are using CAT5 or CAT5e Ethernet cables it should be a no brainer. Buy these Cables.I purchased 10 foot and 6 foot cables for a few different devices and uses. In my home I run two wireless routers, a media server, multiple computers, PS4, PS3 and other streaming devices. I needed to upgrade several points in my system to remove bottlenecks caused by older and poorer performing cables. I prefer to run cables to all devices possible as this will almost always be better than wireless connections(even with some of the fastest wireless routers). These cables have given me better performance on my home network. I'm able to better stream movies from my server to my Roku devices at a higher full HD bitrate. Online gaming has been improved for me as well. Will this cable do magic and turn your internet connection into double or triple the speed? Not likely. If you pay for 5mbps, 10mbps, 50mbps, 150mbps you will only get what your ISP will let you get away with. This cable will just make sure that you get the most of what you can get. If you're trying to tow a car you want a chain strong enough and with no weak points. The same with your network, make sure you have the right cable for the job as everything you do needs to pass through at least 1 cable for most people.

The perfect Ethernet cable for any application.
These flat CAT7 cables go where round cables can't. They easily slide behind the smallest of gaps between furniture and walls, and take up almost no space in those holes put in office furniture to run wires through (once you get the admittedly massive head of the connector through!). Most if not nearly all appliances will accept this type of Ethernet cable, even if they aren't rated to use it's increased bandwidth and speed. For just a small uptick in price, you might as well go for CAT7 and be ready for the next generation of products that will take advantage of its enhanced abilities over CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6 etc, especially if you are installing them as permanent fixtures. This pair was the perfect length for my needs, 2 meter, or 6.5 feet. Just enough to connect a computer right next to the modem/router. Other lengths are great to go under carpeting, or rugs, or a cord runner (those rubber speed-bump resembling things in computer labs and cubicle farms). The 24k gold plated connectors are a nice touch, but unnecessary, as these connect digital signals. The connection therefore either works, or it doesn't. If this were 1976, and we were hooking up a sweet HI-FI stereo system; then yeah, spring for the golden connectors. Analog signals can degrade, and so the gold connectors make sense, as they will not corrode. Again, with digital, we are either getting the signal of 0's and 1's, or we aren't. There is no "degradation" of a digital signal. What separates CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6 and CAT7 cable? Bandwidth, or the amount of data that can be transmitted over a predetermined amount of time. Beside that, according to most sources, the difference is mainly in the amount of RF shielding in the cable itself, better quality of the twisted pairs of wires which eliminates cross-talk. Shielding in the cable is different than the whole gold in the connector as the shielding actually does keep out RF signals which seep in, because any energized length of cord is essentially an antenna. Most modern systems filter this out, but why not prevent it from being introduced in the first place?PROS:+ Inexpensive+ Solid construction+ Gold connectors (look cool, do nothing though...)+ CAT7 (Shielding on individual wire pairs, and then again around the entire cable) (up to 600MHz bandwidth)+ FLAT cable (fits anywhere)+ Backwards compatible with equipment designed for CAT5, CAT5e, CAT6 etc.)+ Multiple lengths availableCONS:<none>

These have worked fine for a few years, but I'm not a fan of the rigid flat cable
I needed some ethernet patch cords so I purchased these. They have been in service and working fine for several years in a non-speed critical environment. After doing a complete teardown of my office, when I removed these I was kind of annoyed at how they were laying there. There are pretty rigid and like to lay where they want to, not where you want them to. They worked fine, but this time I'm replacing them with traditional round cable that is more flexible and will lay where you want it to.
