Shimmering Sand 3 Pack with Sandcastle Molds

My grandkids have a blast playing with this stuff! They are 2 1/2, 3 1/2,and 4 1/2 years old. It gets a little messy, but I just vacuum it up later.

This stuff is so cool. Now if I could just get my kids to quit playing with it on the carpet. It’s still easy enough to clean up with the vacuum

Like others mentioned, it is difficult to get it out, I had to bang it on a table a bit hard. Some of it was a little hard/crumbly at first, but what I’ve noticed with kinetic sand is sometimes it gets that way but then if you just knead it and play with it for a minute it goes back to normal. Overall, it’s magic sand with glitter in it and I think the kids will enjoy it. Requires a little extra work but after that it’s great!

This 3 pack of shimmer is gorgeous. The only downside is that is very hard to get out of the container for some reason, I had to dig all of the sand out of the container (not like the regular kinetic sand castles that are easy to use.) also, the cost of it being more “shimmery” than the kinetic sand that comes in the 2lb bag is the glitter pieces are larger and actually fall off on your hand and it’s very noticeable which is why I don’t open these much. For people and parents that went to keep things mess free or free of glitter left behind this may not be for you. Other wise, it’s great consistency like normal. Actually maybe even more soft than some of the plain colored sands. Just wish the glitter stayed with the sand like the original crystal pink and twinkly teal, etc. also these shades are a little more on the pastel side. The difficulty to remove from the container and the glitter falloff is what is bringing it down to three stars.

Kinetic sand works like a charm with my kindergarten students. They love the way it feels on their hands, how they can built a bit high and pack the sand up to some degree. The mold these come with work great in building sand castles, which is fun to do indoors and all year long. I've steadily been adding to a collection of Kinetic sand packages. Try hiding gems, seashells in piles, or adding toy cars, trucks, or beach toys to this.

Hard to scoop out of the castle but lovely and do as they say. Daughter loves them!
