Ac blower stopped working. I used the manual and followed the troubleshooting guidelines and flow chart. It pointed me to the blower motor control module this was replaced a few years ago already. My ac repair man looked and verified. Quoted $1200!!!! I had nothing to loose so I pulled the motor off and looked at the control module. Priced online around $400. Then luckily I saw this burnt part where I could still read the part number. Lo and behold! A simple search and here we are. I soldered a wire to bipass the part and got the unit working. I ordered this replacement part, soldered in and the ac had been working flawlessly for months now. Save yourself time and money - order 2 or 3. They work.

This inexpensive part got my furnace up and running again. Saved me over a thousand dollars by not having to replace the whole fan motor.

I have replaced dozens of these over the past 20+ years. If you know how to diagnose a motor and speed control module properly, and find this part to be bad, it can save you $1200 on a service call and motor replacement.The key is knowing what to look for.This is a great product and packaged for the diy consumer and service technicians. But you should only order this if your motor bearings and windings are still good. This current inrush limiter won't work on those failures. Only works when the motor module fails.

This did not work for me. I tried to contact Zebra Instruments, might as well be trying to talk to a Dept of the federal government! Forget about this company helping if you have a problem. Sux!!

I loved that it repaired my A/C blower, but I found that I can buy the thermister for $1.83 each.

Had another bad Ecm motor due to poor static pressure (improper duct sizing)thought I’d repair with this common part that fails,well it didn’t work for me.

First off, let me start by saying that this kit does exactly what it is advertised to do. If the thermistor on your ECM control module goes out, you CAN fix it with this "kit", some solder, a soldering iron, and a little bit of know-how...That being said, this "kit" consists of exactly 2 pieces. First is the thermistor, which is the replacement part necessary to make the repair. They can be purchased online from Amazon, as well as other outlets for anywhere from $2 to about $10. The second piece is a 2-inch long stick with a dimple in one end, that is supposed to be used to depress the clip that holds the ECM module on the end-bell housing of the motor. Incidentally, the stick did not work on the clip so I had to use needle-nosed pliers.So basically what the folks at Zebra did was they packaged a $2 thermistor together with a $0.10 stick, and made a "repair kit" that they charge $25 for.I'm giving it 3 stars because I was able to use it to fix my not-working air conditioner, and because I was able to purchase it locally, while the much cheaper alternatives were going to take a few days to arrive. I am ONLY giving it 3 stars, because I still feel like I overpaid for what is essentially a gimmick "repair kit", but that pill is getting easier to swallow as my house gets cooler.
