Great little thermometer!
Great little thermometer! It lives on the side of the fridge, attached magnetically for easy grabbing. It reads quick, the digital screen is nice, and it's been working for years. I came back checking for the max temperature (300C/572F) and wanted to share that it just keeps chugging along. I've bought multiple for myself and family members, absolutely no complaints!

AMAZING 👏
Best meat thermometer I've ever used!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️This TempPro thermometer is an absolute game changer in the kitchen! 🙌 The 1-second instant read is no joke — it gives you an accurate temperature so fast, no more guessing if your meat is done! I use it for everything — grilling, frying, roasting and it never lets me down. The motion-sensing wake feature is so convenient, it just turns on automatically when you open the probe. 🔥 The backlit display is bright and easy to read, and I love how compact and easy it is to store. Whether you're a beginner cook or a BBQ pro, this thermometer is a must-have! Highly recommend! 👏

Acceptable for the Price
It seems absurd to spend $50, or even $100, on a meat thermometer. But if you want a good thermometer that works quickly and accurately, then the price is just a bullet you'll have to bite. I tested four meat thermometers: this one, the Thermopro Lightning ($45), the Thermopro TP620 ($30), the Thermopro TP19H ($15), and the Thermoworks ThermoPop 2 ($47). Some meat thermometers have some lag between the first displayed reading and the final accurate reading. With the TP19H, this lag is the most pronounced, as it takes between 10 and 20 seconds in many cases to reach an accurate reading. The TP620 and the ThermoPop 2, have less lag, but still take between 5 and 10 seconds to reach an accurate reading. The Thermopro Lightning, however, is a true instant-read thermometer, as it provides a fast initial reading, and the final accurate reading takes no more than two seconds to appear. The Lightning is the only one that I know that I can trust to quickly provide an accurate reading. I find this to be surprising given Thermoworks' reputation, but perhaps their Thermapen ONE, which I did not retest since it retails for $125, is what merits their reputation. For $45, however, the Thermoprop Lightning appears to be mightly close in performance to the much more expensive Thermoworks and is certainly better than the ThermoPop 2 that I tested. The ThermoPop doesn't even have a magnet or hook. All of these thermometers are waterproof under running water. I probably wouldn't put them in the dishwasher, however. The displays on all of these are fine, and I think that the Thermopro Lightning's display stands out quite well. If you're looking for a quality meat thermometer that will do exactly what you expect it to do, get the Lightning. But if you need the cheapest meat thermometer out there, the TP19H here will suffice. But be warned: the lag of the thermometer in providing an accurate reading will likely be frustrating and uncomfortable, especially over substantial heat, which is obviously the circumstance in which you're likely to be using this product. I've used all of these products, and I didn't want to spend $45 on a meat thermometer. At $45, the Thermopro Lightning isn't cheap, but if you can swing it, you'll have a for better meat thermometer that truly provides three times the value compared to this cheaper model.

Good thermometer
Works very well. Quick reading. Came with a small screwdriver to be able to put in the battery. That was so helpful.

Easy to use, easy to read, fairly accurate
All the seller's info about the features are valid except for the accuracy, although the degree of error is basically trivial. I did a test in our kitchen in San Francisco, which is at sea level. Water boils at 212 degrees Fahrenheit at sea level, so I brought a small saucepan of distilled water to a steady, rolling boil and tested several of our cooking thermometers in succession. The TempPro was low by ~ 2-3 degrees. One of the old non-electronic Taylor thermometers with a round dial about the diameter of a quarter was very close to 212, as was the battery powered Polder model. I especially like the large digital display of the TempPro, and the magnetic docking so it can perch on top of the range hood instead of our already cluttered utensils drawer. I'll keep it and just err on he side of bringing meats to a slightly higher temp than the standard recommendations.

Nice high quality
Its an awesome thermometer. I have used it mainly for chocolate but have used it on steaks as well. It isn’t as instant as I though but is an improvement. I like the light they have and you can change it from F to C or vice versa. It also flips based on which way you have it.
