Anthony's Citric Acid Powder 2lb, Natural Preservative, 100% Pure Food Grade

Bought this to replace a bag of 'Well Body" Citric Acid Powder - Fine Granular - 100% Pure Anhydrous - Pharmaceutical Grade Quality, because, frankly, the Anthony's price was $5 cheaper.We use it in our dishwasher as our well water is extremely hard and just one heaping teaspoon of the Well Body brand would leave glasses clear and dishes free of residue.The only difference I can see between the two products is that the Anthony's brand is a fine powder (like icing sugar) whereas the Well Body brand was more like a salt. But the Anthony's brand does NOT work at all in our dishwasher. In fact, glasses and cutlery look worse after a cycle with Anthony's citric acid than without.Reordering today, and back to Well Body brand.

I did not realize that this was powdered citric acid (this was my fault, because it is listed in the description). I did not realize that citric acid game in powdered form, so I did not read the description completely. I have regular granulated citric acid from this company several times and have always been happy with it, so I thought I was ordering the same product.I don't hate the powdered formula. I do prefer the granules. I uses citric acid to make bath bombs. The process requires a lot of mixing and stirring. I find that the powder is a bit messier and gets into the air.

I use for cheese making. I went for this brand in the 2lb bag after reading the good reviews and am glad I did. Produces great results in the kitchen and also for general household cleaning. As I don't really use all that much when making cheese, I have looked into its other uses and have since put down drains to help unclog and to help clean the toilet. Bag reseals after opening, and I store in a cool cupboard. From what I have seen online, if stored well and away from air, it can last for years/forever!

My wife and I bought this 2-lb bag so we could see how well this product performed for us. We've already made some toilet fizzies with this and we have plans to make some bath fizzies in the near future as well. This powder does a great job and since there are so many uses for it we might have to spring for a bigger bag next time. One reviewer suggested wearing a mask when using this since the powder goes airborne easily and can get breathed in and we agree. It's a good-sized bag for a better price than the ones we saw at Wal-Mart.

Anthony's Citric Acid Powder has worked awesome in my DIY bath bombs. I actually use half the recommended amount of acid and my bombs fizz up cute and fun. The powder is super fine, so perhaps that's why I needed only half the amount? The 2lb bag is a nice size too. I've done 3-4 batches of bombs and still have a considerable amount of acid left. I will be sticking to this brand as I know it works for my purposes.

Good citric acid powder. Not in the most user friendly packaging. Both my roommate and myself got it sprayed the first time we opened it. This does not taste good and is not something you want in your eye. It only lasted through two bath bomb making sessions so no idea if someone opening it extremely carefully is spared.

I ordered these to make fizzy toilet bombs and didn't realize that this particular one was FINE powder. I'm going to experiment some more to figure out what needs to be tweaked with that recipe using fine powder instead of regular granules. Can't complain about the price...and I'm sure there'll be other uses for it as well.

I got this to try my hand at homemade mozzarella cheese. I was successful, thanks in part to this citric acid powder. I chose this one because it seemed like it was a finer grade than some of the more granular versions and I wasn't disappointed. Reading other reviews has inspired me to try my hand at bath bombs next, since I have plenty left.
