A Nice Book
I like this little book, and little it is.however the colour photos and the writing make up for its small.Size. I am lucky as I have my Grandfathers Kits and a 1916 Webley M.K. VI in .455 Webley . I am rather lucky to have both their Diaries My Dad's Fathers with Sand from Egypt in it.Thank You Peter Doyle & Amazon.

I learned a lot about how my grandpa lived during his service time
A simple, human, and understandable book A good remember acne for ancestors who served in this tribe conflict. it is well written and to the point. gave me an appetite to learn more.

Very small edition
Watch what edition you are getting....the edition I got was a miniature edition. FOUR TIMES SMALLER than another edition of the same book. Its soooo small tommy could have taken it to war in a webbing pouch and no one would have known it was there!!!

A useful little Book
Quite a useful little reference of Tommy`s artifacts that he took to the Great War. Sadly the author still cannot tell the difference between an East Kent`s ( Buffs ) Cap Badge and a Queens Own Royal West Kent cap badge. Mostly likely as much of the text is a direct lift from a previous book of his as a Haynes Manual that came out recently. On the whole, OK.

Wonderful Book
Bought as part of our WW1 Display for Church, love this book. Very straight forward and all ages at Church enjoyed it.
