Tool is not solid stainless Steel
Functionally, this tool seemed to do the job for which it was intended. I usually used it for repositioning sections of paracord, or for untying knots. That is, nothing I did with this tool would be considered "putting it to heavy duty use". Therefore, I would guess that this is the reason I have not experienced the breakage that has been reported in other customer reviews. However, I did damage it in a most unexpected way.I had a paracord loose end that needed sealing to finish off a bracelet. The cord end was nestled tight in with the main body of the woven/braided paracord bracelet, and I was concerned about being able to melt the tip of the loose end without damaging the other cords around it. Then I got this "brainy idea". If I took a slot-head screwdriver (e.g.) and heated the tip up to near "red hot", then I could press it against the loose paracord end and melt it with much less chance of damaging the surrounding cords. The down side I thought would be, at the worse, that I might mess up the "temper" of the steel screwdriver tip. But when I checked my collection of screwdrivers, the tips all appeared a bit large to use for sealing off the paracord. Then I saw this tool in my collection of paracord accessories. The wide end was just about the right size, I could seal the paracord with surgical precision, and I bought it because the advertisement said "stainless steel" (SS) so the heat should not cause the tool significant harm. So, I started the procedure, heating the wide end of the tool in the flame of a propane torch. Once I decided that the tip was hot enough to melt the paracord, I pressed it against the loose end. That's when a number of surprising things happened. The very tip of the tool (about 1/4 of an inch) bent over at 90 degrees from the (relatively) slight pressure I was applying to the end of the cord, the metal tip split open on the outside of the bend, and a drop or two of liquid metal came out and solidified on the remaining part of the tip that had not bent. The solidified liquid had the consistency of some type of porous cast metal, or possibly solder. The tip of the tool where it had bent was barely still attached to the tool. This end of the tool had become useless. My point in describing this experience is that this tool (advertised as SS), was, at the best, a thin SS casing filled with some type of soft metal which did nothing as far as enhancing the durability (i.e., structural strength) of the tool. This, I believe, is the reason for the broken tools described by other customers elsewhere in the comments. So, if you are purchasing this tool, please be aware of what it is you are getting. As I mentioned earlier, the tool seems to work OK as long as you are "kind and gentle" with it.One last note:I think that, if I continue to see a need to be more "surgical" when melting paracord ends that are in "tight spots", I will try using a wood burning kit that I had purchased 1-2 years ago. This might do the job as far as melting the paracord end, and it does have some tips that have patterns on them that can be imprinted onto the melted paracord. Thanks for reading this long review.

Useful, but caution
Used it several times now for various projects. It is good, but not amazing. The small end slips right in some of the tightest windings of the monkey fists I've made, and has served me well digging into diamond knots and others as needed.Durability is okay, but you can bend the tool from trying to over tighten cord. It has not broken yet, and I've been able to fix it by hand so far.Edit: It broke.I would give this 3.5 stars, but I dont think it earned a flat 3... so I'll leave it at 4. If you know it isnt a very tough tool, you can still use it quite well and I haven't found another tool on Amazon with similar ends and function. The seller contacted me back about my questions as to why it might have broken, and was able to work with them to my satisfaction.

You should have one of these, you’ll find a use for it!
I’m new to Paracord knot tying (a CV19 activity) and make a lot of mistakes, so untying things is important. This tool is the right size, seems well made and isn’t expensive. Some of the others I looked at were cumbersome and more expensive. One end is pointed and flat, the other rounded with a slight curve (handy for getting into tight spots) and there are grooved bands to make gripping it easier. Even without knot tying it’s handy - nut pick, shoe lace bow gone awry, etc. Vendor delivery was very prompt.

Quality
I do a lot of ornaments requiring tucking of fabric and ribbon. This tool is fabulous. I bought one, and I loved it so much I bought two more. Not because I needed three, but I was so afraid I might lose it and never find it again on the internet. Great product, great price!

Good tool
I've broken one tool already, it's not a bad too but I believe this is a casted too and not truly stainless steel. It's a handy to and good for the price just wish the durability was slightly better.
