Izzo Swami 6000 Handheld Golf GPS Water-Resistant Color Display With 38,000 Course Maps & Scorekeeper Model may vary

I am writing my 2nd review. I really like the Izzo 6000, unfortunately there isn't an alarm to notify you if you leave it on the cart post when the cart has been returned. Due to this little oversight and a totally unconcerned attendant at the golf course I unnecessarily purchased a 2nd one. The 6000 works as described. Course data seems to be up to date and yardage measurements are consistent with my playing partners range finders and phone apps. I have 2 complaints. Both may be software glitches and may be correctable by Izzo and a download. First the hole locator will switch holes if I wander too close to a tee box for another hole and does not automatically switch back when I return to the fairway of the hole which I am playing. Also if I play 2 rounds on a 9 hole course it does not automatically come back to the 1st (10th) hole and has to be manually adjusted (my unit always switches to the 2nd when I try to advance from the 9th to 1st holes). The 2nd complaint concerns the timer. My unit shuts down during the round and requires a restart (a real nuisance when it happens); however, if I am paying attention and check how far my strike went or distance to a hazard periodically this is avoidable. All in all, I did buy a 2nd unit when my 1st one was lost.

Love this little thing. It only lasted a year but I used it 2-3 times a week all year long. It stopped charging. I feel I got my money's worth. I just ordered another one. It's very accurate. I don't want one of the handheld ones. This stays on tight on the cart's metal bar.

I got this GPS and headed out to the course to try it after charging it up. I took the included "quick start" pamphlet with me so I was sure there were no issues. Well that wasn't the case. It was easy to power on and the buttons, unlike others have said, were easy to use too. But, I wanted to use the scorecard so I referred to the "quick start" info. I followed the instructions but I could not get it to work. I told myself that the GPS was defective and used my phone for scoring. When I was done, I decided to look further into the issue. I found that the "quick start" info neglects to tell you that in the settings tab there is an option to "toggle" on/off the option of the scorecard. If it's not on, then you can't toggle to the scorecard. Hopefully it will work for my next round. My round took about 3 hrs and I used 15% of the battery. I used the magnet to mount it to the cart and on a very bumpy cart path, it never moved. I'm happy with it, especially now that I have scorecard working, but that's the reason for 4 stars.

Prompt Delivery Accurate Yardage and good Battery life.

Like everything about it when is working. Cuts off after 4 holes. Turn it back on and cuts off again. This is with a full charge. Very annoying for something that costs $100.

this product stopped working after 4 months. very disappointed Company replaced it. Hopefully it will last as I really like using it on the course Easy to read and accurate

While it functioned it worked great. I've used it for about 18 months and likely for about 250 rounds. No problem finding the courses I've played. But..... the battery and charging situation stinks. I just ordered a new GPS as this one will likely be dead in a week or two. It's been charging for nearly 24 hours and it's still not done. It barely makes it through a 3.5 hour round now. Clearly there are battery issues, as outlined in other posts. A shame as it's a great value and works well. But not for long!

Received earlier than the promised date, looks solid and good quality. Haven't used but I think it won't disappoint me.

I just received my Swami 6000 golf gps. I played first time with it. Absolutely loved it. Stuck like glue to cart never fell off! The distance is so clear, large numbers and front and back yardage to green and pin. Definitely loved it. I didn't use any other feature though. But very pleased! Also I fully charged it night before. After 1 round still says full charge! Definitely recommend for the price!

3 out of my 4 regular courses are not in the system. Staff helpful and trying but still not uploaded/ updated.
