I now have five of these in different colours. Very handy writing instrument without a clip that you can keep in your pocket or handbag.

Feels great in the hands, and is nice and compact when pen tip is in. Even fits well in lighter pocket of men's denim jeans. Writes fluidly, and I would say it writes somewhere in between medium and fine tip. Great value for name brand pen. Watch out for pen thieves, because this is one that is sure to disappear if you aren't careful.

I had the Lamy Pico in my sights for awhile, but didn't know if it would be a comfortable pen for me, since it's so small. I bought it and have been very pleased. When extended, it's a surprisingly good writer: comfortable in my hand and smooth on the paper. I bought it in matte black, and it's a trendy-looking classy ballpoint, albeit somewhat of a novelty. I carry the Pico in the zipper pocket of a small planner. I bought the Lamy Pico leather case to better protect the pen, but in hindsight, probably didn't need it. The pen is a sturdy little thing.

I've owned one of these for several years now, and bought other to give to a family member for Christmas. I really like the Pico quite a lot, although it's not perfect. I'll list some pros and cons, but i'll start with the bottom line at the top: this is a great pen for daily carry and use, it's durable, it's good looking, but the mechanism is a bit finicky and the pen shows damage pretty easily. Pros: Really cool mechanism Nice weight and balance Easily swapped cartridges with a variety of tips and colors Writes cleanly and predictably (for the most part) Small, easily carried and concealed size and form Cons: Mechanism can be finicky, getting stuck or out of sync on occasion Mechanism can also feel rough and grind some, feeling like it wants some lubrication Pen damages easily (taking dents or scratches in the black finish revealing bronze color beneath) Writing is not super consistent; ink flow is pretty good 80% of the time, but this can leave the occasional skip or gob of ink (still higher than most ball points I've used, but it'd be nice if it was gel) Rounded and thick tip can be a little uncomfortable to hold/use/write with if you are accustomed to a smaller/thinner writing utensil, or a taper Overall, take a look at pics and videos. For the most part, what you see is what you get, and I generally really like. Although there are a few problems, I really like this pen overall, and I'd recommend it to anyone.
