This dashcam is nearly perfect: 1. Fantastic 4k video quality, vastly increasing your odds of reading a license plate. 2. Tons of customization options within settings 3. Easy to remove from harness 4. Built in cooling for hot days 5. Built in GPS module 6. Costs less than other 4k dashcams, especially Blackvue Get this dashcam if you want the best of the best

Does all I need.
I bought this as a deterrent to other Manila motorists and (sadly) to protect against corrupt Manila traffic police trying to scare drivers into handing over cash to avoid prosecution for non-existent traffic offences. Of course immediately I mounted it (easily done although be warned the adhesive pad is strong), I didn't have another scrape with a lunatic taxi driver or incident with Manila's finest, and then it was lockdown in Manila so I haven't driven anywhere for the past three months. Still, the experience I did have with it on a 600km road trip was all good; image quality is outstanding and the ability to view through wifi is great. Highly recommended if you want a dashcam with wifi and excellent image quality.

Great Dashcam with great video and audio recording
This is one of the best dashcams on the market, it's simple to install and there's replacement parts for window sticker, power base mount and lens filter for less glare recordings. We had this camera without any issues with great recording for moving video and audio. The app for the smartphone is pretty much useless. However after we changed vehicles, we moved the power base mount to the new vehicle and the camera started rebooting every 5 seconds at times. I traced it to bad power base mount. Given that base mount is like under $18 replacement, you camera is back in service. I would recommend this dashcam for others looking for a great dashcam.

Well Thought Out, Better Than Rexing V1 4K
If I had to describe this dashcam in one phrase, it would be “well thought out”. The physical design is one of the best on the market, with a very logical button placement, and distinct, clear labels. I love that the GPS unit and power are integrated into the window mount, eliminating the need to have usb cords sticking out of the side of the camera. Physical design had a big influence over which dashcam I ultimately chose, as it’s going to be mounted in my field of view and used on a regular basis. The A129Pro is certainly one of the best designs on the market when it comes to that. Also, included in the box is a super thick & long power cable, 12v dual USB charger, extra adhesive mounts, and a trim tool. Picture quality was also a deciding factor in my dashcam purchase, and I’m happy to report the A129 Pro is sharper than my previous Rexing V1 4K when it comes to resolving plate information during the day. The image quality at night is also very impressive. In some review videos of the A129 Pro, it looked like the night footage had a slight purple tint, which is often produced by cameras with a cheap image sensor. This was a worry, as I do a lot of driving at night. However in all my testing and usage, this was not the case — night footage looks totally acceptable with no weird color shifting! It has better low light performance than my previous Rexing V1 4K, hands down. The user interface is also very well rounded. The menu items are thoughtfully organized, and it has some useful features such as parking mode and motion sensing. I’m currently running this camera solo in full 4K and leaving it running 24/7 and it has been doing great. But it’s nice to have the option to add a rear camera in the future. Viofo’s mobile app seems to work better than Rexing’s app too, which is an important part of the dashcam user experience. It’s also easier to turn on WiFi on the A129Pro, and you can transfer full 4K files onto your mobile device no problem. (Whereas the Rexing only supported mobile transfers of 1440p max resolution.) One issue I had when first reviewing footage from the A129Pro from the SD card on my computer was playback of the clips in Quicktime. Despite watching them on a brand new high-spec MacBook Pro, the dashcam videos played as though they had been recorded in two frames per second, even though the cam was set to 4k30fps. Upon further research, other people had this issue too. The solution is to change the camera from H.264 to H.265 video codec, which is more modern, space efficient, and plays back smoothly in QuickTime. Or alternatively, if you prefer to record in H.264, play the files using VLC instead of QuickTime to alleviate the issue with video playback lagging. Aside from this one hiccup, the A129Pro has been a pain free experience. I would definitely buy this again to install in another vehicle over the Rexing 4K!

Bad cam
The camera is ok but the app is very very bad. Update The camera has stopped working, it doesn’t record anymore I called amazon and I was told am out of exchanging time, so they will call me the next day so we can call the seller together and am still waiting for amazon to call me, which am not sure they will since it’s been a day and half since they promised to call. This is not the first time Amazon has failed calling as they promised. 08/15/2020 Amazon took a good step in replacing the device for me, but still had no luck. Device doesn't work properly, not sure if it got something to do with the heat or not I live in Arizona and most of the times we over 100° This camera gives me partial recording. I get home from a trip thinking I should have full recording of my trip but that's not all ways the issue. I called the company they told me it might be the SD we troubleshoot it was good. I can't tell what the problem is but to me this dashcam is not good.

Great video, v gets hot!
Work great but get very very hot. This is my second one the last one was just out of warranty when it stopped working completely. I went through all of their procedures for testing and checking thoroughly. So this time I paid for the full 3 years warranty because it does get very hot. That said the video and photos function of the unit is fantastic easily accessed and viewed. High quality video and photos. Even when parked you can set it to trigger and it works great. In just hope it last longer as it isn't cheap.

Great dashcam
I am happy to say that this dashcam performs just as the numerous reviews I’ve watched on YouTube state. The picture quality is great and the value compared to other (real 4K) cameras is even better. My advice to anyone looking for a 4K dashcam is to make sure the camera has a 8MP or better image sensor. Many, and I mean many dashcams advertised as 4K cameras with ridiculously cheap prices are not true 4K cameras. They record at lower resolutions and upscale the image. These cameras will result in an image the size of a 4K video but not the quality. With that being said, I do recommend this camera.

VIOFO A129 Pro 4K (firmware V2.1 upgraded to V2.2), no rear camera installed PRO: Good price, excellent picture quality @ 4k (30hz), compact size but not too tiny for handling, easy to disconnect and reconnect the camera from the GPS frame, good cell phone app (using 5 Ghz mode) for setting the camera options, manufacturer would upgrade firmware to improve product. CON: Bad WIFI connection with app when using 2.4 Ghz.

Box came slightly dinged/damaged, but the camera seems to be working fine so far and I have not noticed any damage to the actual dash cam. Picture quality is really good, which is expected for a 4K camera, it also records speed which might be useful if pulled over. Super straight forward to use and easy to install, includes a wire tucking/trim removal tool which is nice. Definitely the best dash cam bang for your buck, most dash cams in this price range are only 2K and have a sensor that does poorly in low lighting conditions! Would recommend to anyone looking for a 4K dash cam but don't want to spend $500+.
