Works for my hydroponic garden
Bought to replace my small hydroponic garden’s water pump. Tested it in a bucket of water and it worked a bit too vigorously, but there’s a small dial on the side that does a fairly good job of regulating the flow. I was able to turn it all the way down.Just after getting the new pump, I successfully fixed and reinstalled the old one, which turned out to be full of gunk from me being lazy and not cleaning it regularly. I’m keeping the new pump for when the old one dies for good. The new one seems sturdy and will be a good replacement.

Small but effective
I actually submitted a return request but never ended up returning it. My complaint was that it was most certainly not "ultra quiet" - it was indeed quite buzzy and loud. If this happens to you, hesitate. Don't miss your return date but use the thing as much as you can. Mine got pretty much "silent" after a wait. Just sick it in a tank and test it out and if it's loud let it run 24/7 for a while and see if it gets quiet enough.I now have two of these as they move plenty of water for my smaller setups and run very quiet. I use them in my office where I do regular meetings and generally need peace while I work, so the sound is very important to me.[ORIGINAL]I hope I just got a bad egg because many of the reviews rave about how quiet it is. It's one of the smallest pumps in my fish room and yet, one of the loudest. It's not screaming loud or anything, but it produces a steady hum and vibration, and it is certainly louder than my much-more-powerful pumps.I'm going to see if I can get it replaced and I'll update my review if the replacement is as quiet as expected.

Almost perfect but not quite
This little pump works great and is a great addition to my 5-gallon tank. I had to set it on the lowest setting because it's pretty powerful for a small aquarium. I would have given it 5 stars except for the fact that one of the suction cups came loose and won't stay attached. Other than that I would recommend it.

Silent for 4 Months
Literally you get what you pay for. Bought it on September/20 and started to be really noisy on January/21. It's like we have an A/C wall unit on. Time to try another brand. The flow, suction and sheerness are good.

Quiet, easy set up, worth the money
Wow! Total tank changer! Easy to set up and my tank looks so clean and it’s nice to have flowing water again in our tank. Super easy! Super quiet!

Worked great for a while, suddenly makes a terrible noise
This little pump worked great for a few months, but has suddenly started making a horrible noise whenever it's on. I dismantled my scape, took out the pump, and disassembled it to get at the impeller. No grime or sand in the impeller, perfectly clean. Re-assembled, and it still makes the sound. It is LOUD. I am using it in an aquascape right next to my bed, so I just can't use it now.. avoid.
