A: A small is 4.5 to 7 according to the women’s size chart on the darn tough website. A medium is 7.5 to 9.5.

A: I suggest a medium.  I am a size 9 in a hiking boot and a medium fits me well. The darn tough size chart says medium is size 7.5-9.5.

**Q: Are these for hiking?**
A: I use them with summer hiking boots and found they dry quickly.  I wear heavier thicker socks with winter hiking boots.

I love Darn Tough socks and have multiple pairs. They are very comfortable, fit super well, and stand the test of time and wear. This particular style works equally well with tennis shoes and snow boots. I find the lightweight version more versatile and comfortable than the heavier socks but that may just be a personal preference.
