Toughenized faces are made with hundreds of nylon threads criss-crossed between two layers of heavy stock, or basically 100 lb. sheets of tough tag paper, tripling target face life against all types of archery arrows. These 48"-50" toughenized face covers have four color skirted faces. (yellow, red, blue, black) Saunders Archery target face covers are used in all NAA events.

top quality for an expendable item
I got the 48" square, and it's awesome. We don't have hay bales, so we put the face on bundles of trash cardboard. It works perfectly. As the other reviewer said, the target is a plasticized paper. It says "waterproof" on the corner, and I believe it. Of course the arrows make holes in the paper (it is a target, after all) so it will eventually wear out, but that will take 100s of shots. It's not like a pistol target, where you need a fresh target to know which holes are yours. When you go to collect your arrows you can tell which ring you hit, even if the target is absolutely full of holes. One note: The bale of hay shown in the picture would only be sufficient for youth bows. An arrow from a modern compound bow would go clear through, possibly damaging the fletchings or resulting in loss of the arrow. We put a wood backstop behind the compressed boxes because even they are not sufficient for our Genesis bows. The hope is that the boxes slow the arrows down enough that they aren't damaged by contact with the wood.Safe and fun shooting.Note: It will fade fairly quickly if left in the sun. It will last until it's positively full of holes if you don't leave it out.

This Target is off the Mark
Bear Archery Square Target Face, 32-Inch ย For the price I was hoping this target would meet my expectations but the price is too high for the performance. You will need to purchase once a month if you shoot much. What I like about this target is it is bright, made of heavy duty material and sems to stand up well in the direct sunlight. Visually it attracts the eye to the bulls eye. What I do not like about it is the holes show up quickly and the heavy duty material does not seem to hide the holes at all. Been using 3 weeks and it looks like we took a machine gun to it. This is not acceptable for a product at this price point. It is a few steps up from a paper target but will cost two hundred dollars a year. I want to like this product but struggle to do so because of its durability. Purchase but understand the limitation.

It did great. We are getting a lot of use out ...
I got this for my son to go along with his beginner's compound bow set, but we used it for arrows and target practice with a 22 rifle. It did great. We are getting a lot of use out of it. Of course, you need hay bails to mount it on. I didn't realize it was only one target - I missed that and thought there were four because of the photo - my fault for not reading all the details. But it is a great target - very durable for paper - feels plastic coated. Will definitely buy again when needed.

stands up well to repeated use
There's nothing much that can be said about the design of this product that won't be obvious from the product photo itself. However, it's worth pointing out that the material holds of very well to repeated use. It's flexible and relatively strong. Continuing to use it time after time, even once it's full of holes, takes nothing away from the experience. We tack it to a hay bale and it serves us very well.

Decent achery target
Like the other reviews, while the description states "toughenized... with nylon threads", the target is basically a plastic sheet. The 36" target was a good size for our range. It held up well after a days worth of practice. We plan on taking down after every use. We're not confident that it would hold up to outdoor elements over time. While the price did seem a bit high, I am generally pleased with the purchase as it seemed like the best option for a flat target.

Durable
Nice heavy duty target. Stuck it on a couple straw bales (just like the picture) and let the kids shoot away. With hundreds and hundreds of hits and being left out in the wind and sun for over a year it is still in great shape.Eventually I'll need another, but I won't hesitate to buy it again.

its BIG
Holy Moley this was huge to what I thought it was going to be. Which is great since I got this for my son who is just starting in archery. He can truely hit the broad side of the barn lol! Its is made of nice thicker plastic-like material, and the way my son shoots the arrows bounce off, reducing it getting torn up with holes.

DURABLE! HUGE!
This is a great target and very durable! Two kids, two archery sets and just this target attached to two very large straw bales. We've been using it since Christmas day (not every day but several times a week) and it has held up great. I would purchase this item again! Highly recommend.
